This EBL100 Watt folding solar panel is just the thing for on-the-go solar power while camping, on the road, at the beach or for light emergency power needs. It is light weight for the amount of power it provides, is somewhat flexible and the panel itself is made of a semi-flexible plastic making it water resistant and less likely to get broken. It can be used in conjunction with other solar panels of the same voltage and wattage to increase the amount of power you can produce in a short period of time.

+ It has grommets on all 4 corners for securing it to your vehicle or other fixed object to keep it from being blown over
or stolen.
+ It has handy handles that are magnetic so the two sides don’t come apart in transit.

+ While I do not recognize the connector that goes from this to the charge controller, the other connectors are what is
standard today so you won’t have to worry about finding the compatible connector.
+ Since it folds flat without much depth, will it take up less space in your car.
+ The panel has a plastic surface, meaning it is less likely to get broken or short out if water gets into the
circuitry.
Negatives:
– This is rated to 18 volts, meaning you have to pair this with other 18 volt panels for parallel or series power and get a charge controlled that will handle at least 18 volts of power.
– the cable provided is short if you are running a DC device inside a vehicle or a distance from the panel. You may want to purchase a similarly rated extension cable for this purpose.
Unfortunately, it is about 10 below zero where I am now so I am unable to see how well the panel actually performs outside. However, there is bright sun coming in my large kitchen window. With the panels set up where it got that full sun, my meter read 18. Guess it works at promised.
I would recommend this to anyone needing portable power for it’s weight, portability, and ability to tolerate wet weather..
