Such a great find!
I wear my cowboy hats all the time, but I have hard time traveling with them without risking them losing their shape while packed. (If you wear cowboy hats you know how hard it is to get them back into just the right shape when they get bent up) Not anymore! Thanks to the awesome Aqualume Hard Shell Cowboy Hat case!
The case is made of a very strong “crush proof” (According to the manufacturer. I didn’t try to crush it!) rigid EVA material. Upon first opening it, I rapped on the case with my knuckles and it is definitely very solid/strong! I have no doubt this will protect my hats.
So, I dropped a couple of my cowboy hats and a fedora in there just to see how they would fit. The cowboy hats fit great, except for my every day cowboy hat which is bent up on both sides higher than the tolerance of the case allows. However, every other hat I have had no problem fitting in the case with it closed. Even my largest, fancy hat fits in with no problem and that one has a wider brim than normal.
The straps inside hold your hat in place nicely with no room for movement during travel. I have no doubt that I could stuff this case into a larger suitcase stuffed with clothing, and not have to worry about damage to my hats.
So, if you travel with your cowboy hats, you cannot beat this hard case for protection and durability. As you know these hats are not cheap and knowing that they are so well protected is worth every penny this case costs.

This AquaLume Hard Shell Cowboy Hat Case for Travel, Universal Fedora Hat Box Storage Organizer with Elastic Luggage Strap, Crush-Proof Protective Hat Carrier Bag for Large Brim Hats Men Women is a decent case, but does not fit the hat I got it for.
The case itself is nice and lightweight, but feels durable and well built. I like the multiple carry options.
The ONLY complaint I have about it is that the brim area is a bit too shallow. The hat I got this for is the one my daughter always wears and travels with, but the brim on that hat has too much curve so it won’t fit without deformity the brim to be a bit flatter.
I would definitely krder this again IF I had a hat with a fairly flat brim, or a soft flexible felt hat.
