Product description

just what our electronics part collection needed
Over time, my husband and I have managed to collect a fair number of electronics parts and accessories for various projects. This accumulation was starting to spill out of the container that we had them in, and things were a bit out of order. I ordered this storage case to see if I could corral some of these components.
The case arrives nicely flatpacked, with good, clear instructions for assembly. Putting it together is quite simple with snap fit connections and no additional hardware or tools needed, and I had it ready to go shortly after unboxing the parts.
Fully built, this case is a solid box with transparent walls that allow you to easily see the contents, and a removable top tray that is divided to help separate and organize smaller items. This tray is seated in a plastic rim that fits over the top of the transparent base. The top lid secures to the case with sturdy plastic snap latches, and there is a flexible handle for transport. I personally feel that this case may be better suited to storage purposes than to serious transport, however. I think that this is a design that may be more vulnerable to impact on account of being one where the walls are secured to each other by fitting into slots rather than one where the main compartment is manufactured as a continuous cast form. The top tray and lid are the anchor point for the latches, which will put stress on those connections, particularly if there is substantial weight in the main compartment. I confess that I also am not entirely happy that the rim where the top tray is placed fits loosely in place rather than serving as a proper reinforcement for the top of the side walls. I think that this container is fine for moving items short distances, such as from a shelf or closet to a work surface and back, but if I needed to transport materials back and forth from home to a classroom, makerspace or workplace on a daily basis, I would opt for something a bit more rugged like a traditional tackle box.
The way in which we are using this case is primarily as storage and organization at home for electronic components, and it certainly does well for that. I imagine that it would also be helpful in a makerspace or other fixed location. The transparency of the walls is a great help in being able to take a quick inventory of the contents, and the proportions and stability of the overall form means that this fits quite efficiently in our closet alongside other tools and materials, and stacks comfortably with other boxes and containers for optimal use of space. It meets our needs quite nicely, and I am satisfied with it.
The Clear Winner for People with Too Many Hobbies
If your craft room currently looks like a glitter bomb went off in a bead factory, the GeeBom 24 QT Clear Plastic Craft Organizer is the intervention you’ve been waiting for. This isn’t just a box; it’s a high-capacity fortress for your supplies, featuring a clear design that allows you to see exactly where you hid that specific shade of teal without having to play “storage bin roulette.” The 24-quart size is the sweet spot of storage—substantial enough to hold a serious collection of yarn, tools, or miniatures, but not so gargantuan that it becomes a permanent piece of heavy furniture. The quality of the plastic feels durable and “clicky” in all the right places, though like any clear plastic, I wouldn’t recommend using it as a stepping stool unless you want to see a very expensive puzzle of shards.
The real magic lies in the functionality of the removable tray and adjustable dividers. The tray is perfect for those “frequent flyer” tools you need at arm’s reach, while the dividers allow you to customize the basement of the box to fit anything from bulky glue guns to tiny sequins. It’s a dream for anyone who appreciates the “a place for everything” philosophy but lacks the natural discipline to maintain it. One quirk: the latches are secure enough to survive a tipped-over mishap, but they do require a bit of a firm snap, so if you have very long nails or weak grip strength, you might find yourself in a brief wrestling match with your own organization.
Installation is, thankfully, non-existent—you simply slide the dividers into their slots, which is easier than following the instructions for a box of cereal. Speaking of instructions, they’re basically “put stuff in box, close lid,” making it a low-stress addition to your creative workflow. For the price, the value is excellent compared to the flimsy “bargain” bins that crack the moment you look at them funny. It’s best for the chronic crafter, the Lego enthusiast, or the skeptical friend who swears they’re going to “get organized” this weekend. It’s functional, transparent, and significantly more stylish than a cardboard box.
Collapses easily & it's very clear so I can find things I am looking for w/out opening it!
I love this little storage bin. I haven’t even decided what exactly to put in it, but I like that it is completely transparent and has a separate area to organize some of the little items at in the top shelf/rack section.
I also like that it can be completely condensed down to a flat piece that is about 2″ tall in about 10 seconds. Knowing me, I’ll put a bunch of a particular type of something in here then in a couple weeks want to move those things out and store the bin somewhere until I figure out what else I really want to put in it ‘this time’ – so it’s nice that I will able to store it when it’s the size of a laptop instead of having a mini ice chest sized bin just taking up space like they usually do!
I also like that the top part doesn’t need to be in the bin for it to still be able to close and latch properly. I am sure I will want to take just the top bin part somewhere to work on something with the items that are in there w/out the whole container needing to be moved, so that is a big plus too.
Definitely recommended
*PS – I think I am going to put electronics and cameras, and a bunch of Raspberry Pi components in it! Kind of like an electronics toolbox of sorts.
