I must admit, I was excited to receive these Bushnell Binoculars. I opened the box, grabbed the binoculars and went outside to check them out. It didn’t take long for my disappointment to set in. I couldn’t quite get the image in the viewfinder correct.
I went back inside and got out the setup instructions and followed the easy steps to properly adjust the binoculars to my personal needs. WOW What a difference!
My previous set of binoculars is the simple “grab and look through them type” which I have always been happy with, particularly for the convenience of no adjustments.
These Bushnell high quality binoculars have several adjustments that need to be made in the proper sequence to optimize the visual experience. Adjustment was quick and easy making the view through the view finder far superior to any lower level binoculars out there.
The only downside of adjustable binoculars is that they need to be readjusted for each new user making it a little cumbersome to quickly share with others.
Overall, these are super high quality binoculars that I look forward to using frequently but I may also pack my old non-adjustable set so friends can use them out on the trail.
These punch well above their price with a genuinely premium look and feel thanks to the organic wave-texture rubber armor and Sky Captain Blue finish. The 8x magnification with a wide 388-foot field of view at 1,000 yards makes them easy to use for everything from birdwatching to sporting events. Adjusting focus and diopter is smooth and intuitive so anyone from kids to adults can dial them in quickly. The IPX7 waterproof rating and EXO Barrier lens coating mean they hold up in rain and resist water, oil, and dust without babying. The included lens covers, lanyard, and color-matched pouch round out a very complete package right out of the box.
