Great product. Keeps birds away
Finally, something to keep birds off the mailbox!! They just stay away. The mess was so bad I had to spray with a hose every day. Now, this product works.
Perfect Balcony Solution for Stopping Pigeons
This 24pack of bird spikes works exactly as advertised. The 33.5 feet of coverage was more than enough for my railing, and the black color blends in nicely without looking messy. The plastic spikes are sturdy, weatherresistant, and easy to install. Most importantly, pigeons stopped landing right away. If you need a simple, effective deterrent for fences or railings, this is a great choice.
Flowers in the whiskey barrel planter have survived the chipmunks. A black bear did not care for the spikes either. Chipmunks have always been a problem digging out young plants but not anymore. The spikes break apart into smaller sections and can strategically be placed around the plants. A bear thought he would take a look and did not enjoy placing his paw in the planter. I have not used them as bird spikes.
Love them. But, they are sharp, which is good.
These are great! Kept my guineas from sitting on my deck banister and leaving unfavorable gifts behind. I have also used zip ties to secure these around my waterlily container in my koi pond. So far, so good. The koi are leaving the plants alone.
I applied this to the top of my fence in my back yard. This product is doing the job I intended, which is keeping my neighbor’s cats out of my yard. However-the spikes are WAY too sharp. They are like needles. An animal could be seriously injured or killed by these. I used a scissor to cut the sharp tips off, they are still very effective, but now they serve as a strong deterrent, not a deadly weapon.
