2.Fill the sandbags with sand, or secure the canopy with ground stakes (grass pegs).
3.Unfold the poles. Use 2 to 4 poles to prop up the canopy, depending on group size.
4.Place the bungee cord over the ball at the top of the fabric, then tighten.
5.Insert the poles into the sand.
6.Use ground stakes to secure the structure.
7.Dig a deep hole and bury each sandbag in the sand.
8.Enjoy the shade!

Another case of me not reading the details, as I was shocked at how light this entire setup is. I first thought it was going to turn out to be cheap junk, but boy was I wrong. This spandex tent is super clever. By not using thicker fabric, it stretches over the poles and gets very taught. Adding lots of sand to the corners holds it solidly in-place, with fast popup poles and little elastic bands to hold the poles to the top by wrapping around the ball-end. It took me about 10 minutes the first time, but then I sure it was under 5 minutes the next time. It is really, really easy to setup, and it is an eye catcher. I like that it lets a little sun through so I can get my vitamin D instead of just being inside, totally sheltered. There is plenty of room underneath for several beach blankets and a cooler. For $60, this is much better than a pop-up shelter and more manageable in the wind. This will stay put while others are chasing their canopies around the beach.
