This tool ended up being a huge help when we were laying artificial grass in a neighbor’s backyard, especially in a shady area where real grass just wouldn’t grow. It’s surprisingly lightweight for how solid it feels, and it doesn’t flex or feel weak when you’re putting tension on it. The steel teeth grab onto the turf backing really well without slipping, so you can actually pull and stretch it into place instead of fighting it the whole time. It’s easy to get the hang of and doesn’t take a ton of effort to use, which makes a noticeable difference when you’re working across longer seams. The end result looked much more even and uniform compared to trying to adjust things by hand. The price is definitely on the higher side, so it’s probably not something most people will use often, but if you’re doing a decent-sized project or want cleaner results without a lot of frustration, it earns its keep pretty quickly.
