Six Stars! So comfortable!!!
For privacy reasons I’m not going to show my bedroom, but all I can say is wow! This cooling comforter is amazing and works exactly as I hoped! The comforter is well made and has a nice weight and thickness to it. It seems to be durable and pill resistant, and it fits my bed as expected. But the real magic is in how this regulates temerature and helps you feel cool!!! Do you like to have a blanket on when sleeiping, but feel stuffy on warm nights? This blanket is for you! This lightweight comforter has a wonderfully comfortable fabric that feels cool, soft, and smooth to the touch, simultaniously keeping you cool while keeping you from feeling cold. The quality design uses 100% polyester and the quilting is even and quality, staying in place through use and folding. The comforter can be washed in your machine and dryed on low in your dryer, so it’s also easy to maintain and clean as needed. It also comes in a variety of wonderful colors so you can mix things up. A great value, worth every penny, and very highly recommended!
Soft and silky, but the white is more of an off white colo
We added this queen-size cooling comforter to one of our short-term rental bedrooms, and it’s been a great addition for guest comfort. It has a soft, smooth feel that guests immediately notice, and the lightweight design makes it perfect for warmer climates. Even during those hotter nights, it helps keep things comfortable without feeling heavy or stuffy.
One thing I really appreciate is the generous sizing. At 90″x90″, it provides a nice overhang on both sides of the bed, which gives the room a more polished, hotel-like look. It drapes well and doesn’t feel skimpy like some other queen comforters can.
That said, the color is something to be aware of. While it’s listed as white, it actually leans more toward an off-white or cream tone. It still looks clean and neutral, but it’s not a bright, crisp white if that’s what you’re expecting. See photo where I have it next to a bright white blanket.
Overall, it’s a solid choice for a rental property—comfortable, breathable, and nicely sized. Guests seem to sleep well with it, which is ultimately what matters most.
Does What it Says! Keeps You Cool! 🧊
Simple, effective and easy on the eyes.
This cooling bed spread does exactly what it says it does… keep you cool. This is a unique fabric that is unlike typical bed spreads. With that said, it is VERY THIN material! It feels like a silk. There is also very little to no interior stuffing in it; which I am sure contributes to it being so “cool” in temperature.
My oldest daughter was looking for a new bedspread so we chose this. She throws everything off always claiming she is too hot, so I figured this may be a good option. After sleeping with it 5 nights now, she likes it! She did comment that once winter rolls back around, it wont work, it will be WAY too cold unless you keep your home temp in the winter months above 70 all the time. So be prepared to switch this out come fall!
Although the fabric is silky smooth to the touch, if you sleep with animals… this choice may not last long for you. A small dog, maybe. A large dog, no. A cat, probably not! The material is just too thin. But again, that’s what gives it the cooling attribute.
We chose the very light grey color and it was tough to get the photos to properly portray that. It’s a VERY light grey. But it still went well with the room and pillows she already had.
The seems are pretty thin and not done really well. I don’t think they will hold up to much.
The price is acceptable, may be a touch too high for how little material is involved to make it.
Now I know what the term “Amazon Basics” means. That label stands for something standard and reliable, something dependably good. That’s how I would describe this comforter. I have purchased a few things with the Amazon Basics label and have been happy with them. Here’s why I am happy with this comforter.
ITS APPEARANCE: I put in the title of my review that the comforter was “not fancy.” It is, however, sleek and tailored. That’s why I didn’t glam it up in photos with trendy pillows and throws. I wanted to show its design can stand alone in a room, right down to its light gray neural color.
ITS QUALITY: When I get any new bedding, I wash it before I put it on a bed. It washed and dried beautifully and came out with not one wrinkle, so it is easy care. The listing described it as lightweight. I think what that means is it is lightweight for a substantial comforter, because it does have substance and it has some weight to it, yet for a queen-size comforter, it can fit easily into a standard washer with no problem.
It has great construction. There wasn’t one loose or pulled thread on it. Nor were there any missing stitches. It had solid, even stitching everywhere. I liked that. Many times, I have to get out my sewing scissors and work away at cutting loose threads on a new item. Not with this comforter. It has good, strong features that make it more durable–the listing said it was wear-resistant and I believe that.
It is definitely an all-seasons comforter, and if you use it in the warmer months, I think it is meant to be used with air conditioning and/or a fan. I also think the term “cooling comforter” means it doesn’t trap body heat and you sleep “cooler,” because it is breathable–another commendable attribute.
Also, it was product tested for harmful substances. For me, that gives me a certain peace-of-mind. So many polyester or nylon quilts or comforters have a toxic, chemical smell. This one doesn’t in the least.
ITS PRICE: For all of its many good, strong features, this comforter is also budget friendly. Can’t beat that. In summary, it is an attractive, useful, workhorse of a comforter!
