Quality outdoor light set. To save yourself troubles during installation (see pictures), follow this proper wiring procedure to avoid issues in the future. Ensure the pin fully pierces the wire insulation as shown in the picture which will eliminate the risk of non-functional lights. This critical step is highlighted to prevent subsequent malfunctions, and this wiring method ensures the lights perform as intended. Pierce the wire with the pin, fit the protective cap, and fasten it tightly; repeat this process for all lights included in the kit. Each of the lights requires connections for both positive and negative terminals. Next, prepare the white wire: strip an extra quarter-inch or so of insulation as shown. IF you skip this step, you risk the likelihood of residual insulation disrupting electrical contact. After securing each connection, gently tug the wires to confirm they are firmly fastened with no loose fittings.
I have a low deck (1 step then the deck) without a railing around it. I actually just installed these on the ground around the deck so it’s safer at night. Now everyone can stop complaining about falling off my deck bc if they do it’s their own fault.
These are really good lights once you get them installed. Installation can be a little tricky The wiring doesn’t always work well on the first try. You also have to be careful when you separate the wires because you can strip one of them. In one case, it actually broke and I had to splice it back together.
But once everything was installed, we really like them. Definitely a good value.
Ordered this before our 2″ Snowfall so I set it up on our dining room table to check it out. I had previously ordered one from another company that didn’t work so I wanted to test this for when/if the snow melts.
Instructions were easy to follow. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The lights were bright and in a sturdy housing. 50′ feet of wire should be sufficient for almost anyone’s needs. It also included the wire connectors. The controller allows me to manually select 2 Hours, 4 Hours, 8 Hours, 24 Hours. I can also select Auto On at dusk for 2 Hours. 4 Hours, 6 Hours, or off at dusk. The controller also has the ability to mount on the wall. I am confident after seeing the construction that the waterproof rating is accurate
