Spacious, comfortable, and the blackout feature really works
We were really comfortable in this tent, even in rainy and windy weather. No leaks at all. The seams are taped—at least along the bottom 12 inches or so—and the blackout feature works great. I also love the fully mesh surround when the rain fly is off.

The best feature is the huge door. When you open it, it ventilates the tent really well. With the door open, it almost feels like a shade tent or canopy, which made lounging inside super comfortable. There are a few pockets inside for small items, plus a hook for hanging a light or fan.

Putting it up and taking it down was fine—not super easy, but no harder than any other ordinary tent. I can’t speak to long-term durability yet, but after one trip, I’m quite happy with it, especially for the price. It also fits back into its bag and packs down relatively small considering how big it is when set up. We had a queen-size mattress inside and still had room for three duffel bags, shoes, and a bit of floor space.

I wanted an inexpensive blackout tent just to try the feature, and it really did help us sleep better!

Good starter tent in great colors
After setting up and thoroughly inspecting, I am considering this a solid 4 tent. I have a lot of years camping and backpacking — this isn’t the best, but it is far from the worst I have used. Here are some considerations:

EASE OF ASSEMBLY AND PACK UP — 5 — it goes up easily, and comes down quickly too. Because of the mesh panels it rolls up nicely without a lot of trapped air. Like every tent I have ever owned, getting back into its carry pouch is a wrestling match, but it’s doable.

DIMENSIONS — 5 — It is roomy. Ideal for 2 people. You could certainly sleep 3, but it would be crowded and have limited room for gear.

FEATURES — 4 — The extra height is a bonus if you don’t want to feel like you are always crawling. You can’t stand up in it a child could) but you can get dressed without laying down like some 2-man tents. All the mesh panels make for a cool and light tent. It will need to be staked because a bit of wind will blow it over, as it did in my backyard set up. It’s definitely a summer tent. Probably a little heavy for a true backpacking tent, but it can be carried for that purpose if you don’t mind extra weight. The rain fly fits well and it’s a real plus that the fly has its own shock cord pole to help the fly extend stiffly out over the door. No rain dripping directly into the tent! The tent bottom wraps up the side several inches for additional moisture protection.

MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION — 3 — This is where it lacks a bit. It’s not bad, just not the highest quality components. The synthetic fabric is quite thin — especially the pole sleeves. I have torn sleeves in the past pushing poles through, and this thinness of these could allow that to happen. Especially after sun has made them weathered and brittle. The door zipper is nothing special; kind of flimsy. The shock cord poles are fiberglass, which you would expect on a tent at this price. They break easier than aluminum. If you have camping experience, you have probably suffered a broken tent pole — handle gently! The stitching isn’t the tightest I have seen.

Materials tend to make or break a tent when it comes to functionality and durability. Handled respectfully, this tent should last many years. There may be some repairs along the way, but that is to be expected.

Side note: while setting up in my backyard, it started raining. The drops beaded up very nicely on the rain fly.

For an entry level tent that provides some outdoor fun, this is a reasonable value.

Two People Needed to Set Up Nice Little Te
You get one tent with this. This measures 8 feet by 7 feet by 50 inches high in the very center.

We did not think it was very difficult, for a tent, to put up. Although it will take two people to do it.

The poles that come with this are supposed to be made of reinforced fiber glass.

The tent is made of polyester taffeta with PU coating. That means it has a tight weave which provides natural wind resistance. The polyurethane layer adds a flexible, waterproof barrier which is great for damp and rainy conditions.

It comes with the weather resistant polyester taffeta tent, a thick floor, high-density mesh, fiberglass poles, 4 guy lines, and 10 ground stakes. The guy lines are very important because they help anchor the tent, pull the tent outward to give maximum interior room, and help it shed water. They also help the tent withstand strong winds and prevent it from collapsing.

This has 3 mesh sides to give it good circulation and air flow while inside it. It includes a rainfly cover.

All of the materials this is made of look good, and it is put together well. If it is taken care of properly, I think this would be durable for a long time. When everything is folded up, it would not be hard to carry this.

I like that this comes with a case to carry it in.

I think this would work best for 2 people, depending on their size. If you had children, it would be good for an adult and 2 children.

Not only would this be fun to take on a camping trip, it would also be lots of fun to set up in the backyard for your child. They would have lots of fun playing in it outside. It would be great if you could actually camp out in the backyard with your child one night, too.

Make sure you bring something along to pound the stakes into the ground, and pull them out when you are done. When sleeping in this, I would make sure everyone has an inflatable mattress.
