Reliable Power on the Go
This 1000W inverter is a pretty solid choice for basic power needs on a jobsite, in my RV where 12V is available. It runs small tools, chargers, and everyday appliances without any issues, and the LCD display is handy for checking voltage and load at a glance.
The USB and Type-C ports are a nice bonus, and hooking it directly to a battery keeps things simple. Just keep in mind it’s a modified sine wave inverter, so it’s not the best for sensitive electronics, but still better than a square wave setup. It’s reliable, straightforward, and does exactly what you’d expect for general use on the go.
Everything I tried worked. Not pure, but not bad.
This is not a pure sign wave inverter. It provides a thousand watts of power.
There are so many different power tools that I tried with it. All of them ran just fine.
One of the nice features is that it not only provides AC power, but also provides USBC and USB A as well.
I appreciate the input DC voltage display so that you can see exactly how many volts are left in your battery banks.
I did have one device plugged in that was causing the AC display to vary the voltage quite a bit. It was jumping out from 110 to 130. It was intermittent, so it was hard for me to determine whether or not it was actually kicking out 130 volts, which would be very bad. The way that display shows was a little disconcerting,
You want to make sure you don’t plug in any sensitive electronics as this is a modified sign wave and not a pure sign wave inverter.
If you’re looking for something for typical work, this isn’t an ideal setup. It’ll run all sorts of things with a motor like electric fans, drills, other power tools, etc, just fine.
The other thing to notice is that this is a 1000 constant inverter. However, it has a 2,000-watt peak power. Many other inverters will give their peak power and hide their continuous power, so that it looks like you get a lot more for your money.
You can see on the pictures of the modified sign wave and also the 130 V quirk it had.
Ended up being super useful for our family camping trips
We bought this mainly for family camping trips and honestly it’s been one of the most useful things we packed. It’s nice having regular power available without constantly trying to work around battery packs and tiny chargers.
So far I’ve used it with my hair straightener, blow dryer, rice cooker, electric skillet, fan, and even a small refrigerator cooler setup. Obviously you still have to be mindful of power usage but for our setup it handled everything we needed really well.
I also like having the USB and Type-C ports built in because the kids are always needing phones or devices charged.
Setup was straightforward connecting it to the battery and the LCD display makes it easy to keep an eye on things. Build quality feels solid too and it’s held up fine riding around with our camping gear.
Overall, really happy with it. Makes camping feel a little more comfortable without going completely off-grid.
