This little hose is not super long at ten feet, but makes a good extension hose. It is not prone to kinking. It works pretty great, and spools nicely. It is comfortable to use with a sprayer attachment, and is light, but feels pretty durable. Overall it is a pretty great value. I use mine as an extension/sprinkler swapping hose. I wish I had gotten a longer one to replace my 50 foot hose with though.
The connector hose for my hose winder broke, and a regular garden hose only lasted one summer. Replacing it with this stainless steel hose was a game changer! It feels much sturdier and more durable against weather and pressure, and the extra length makes it super convenient to pull the winder out when needed.
The hoses that I’ve had near my pool take a lot of abuse so I figured that I would get something more durable this time around. This hose was the perfect thing to stand up to the rigors of pool life. First of all, it’s just downright durable. The metal sheathing stands up well to anything dropped on it or getting stepped on. Secondly, it also eliminates any major tangles and knots. So far, I’ve had no leaks and the seal has been strong. I’m very happy with this product and it has been the perfect hose for pool usage.
There seems to some confusion regarding the versions of this product being shipped. The product I received was different than the listing. I received a 10ft version with different fittings on the end. The listing refers to a 50ft version.
The hose I received was a stainless steel hose with brass fittings. It is well made and does not kink. I crush tested the hose up to 180lbs and it did not dent. The fittings are good quality and the hose did not leak.
It came with some thread tape and extra hose washers.
There is one issue with the design of this hose. On the male end of the hose, there is a very narrow knurled brass collar, only about 1/8″ wide. (See photos.) This collar is so narrow it is hard to grip. When you are inserting the hose into another fitting you can grip the black sleeve to screw it down. However, when you need to unscrew the hose from the fitting, you can’t use the black sleeve since it just comes unscrewed itself from the fitting. This means you are trying to unscrew the fitting using a very narrow 1/8″ piece which is very difficult on a tight fitting. For example, when I attached a nozzle to the end (see photo), I had to use a pliers to get it off.
Excellent hose, have been using for a few months now. The fact that it’s a non-expandable design is actually a huge plus because you get a reliable, steady water flow right away without waiting for the line to pressurize and stretch out, and you don’t have to worry about the inner tube snapping from constant expansion stress.
At over 50% lighter than a standard heavy rubber hose, it is incredibly easy to haul around the yard or patio without wiping out your arms. The 5-layer reinforced tube paired with the high-density braided outer layer does a fantastic job of resisting kinks—if it does twist up a bit, a quick, gentle pull straightens it right out without forcing you to walk all the way back to untangle it. The included 10-pattern sprayer is a great bonus too; the thumb-lever control is way easier on your hands than old-school squeeze triggers, and it gives you the perfect pressure variance for everything from washing down equipment to gently watering delicate plants. For a durable, hassle-free outdoor setup, it really holds up beautifully over months of regular use.
This hose is one of those products that looks a little underwhelming at first because of how compact and lightweight it is, but in actual use it performs better than expected.
The first thing I noticed is that it really does look smaller than a traditional garden hose. If you are used to thick rubber hoses, this one almost feels too light at first, like it might not hold up. But once you hook it up and start using it, it works well and doesn’t have that cheap, flimsy feel people might expect from something this light.
A big plus for me is that it doesn’t leak. The fittings sealed up properly without any dripping at the connections, which is one of the first things I check with hoses like this. It also includes extra O-rings, which is a nice touch because those little pieces are usually the first thing to go missing or wear out over time. Having backups included makes it feel like the manufacturer actually thought about long-term usability.
The twist-on and twist-off connection is easy to work with too. The fittings thread on smoothly and don’t feel like they’re going to cross-thread if you’re paying basic attention. That makes setup quick and painless, especially if you’re moving the hose between spigots or attachments.
Another strong point is how easy it is to handle. Because it’s lightweight, it’s much easier to drag around, coil up, and store than a standard heavy hose. For shorter-distance jobs like watering plants near the house, rinsing off a porch, or hooking up to a nozzle for quick cleanup tasks, it’s very convenient. It also coils neatly without fighting you too much, which is something I appreciate more the older I get.
The metal outer layer gives it a little extra peace of mind compared to a plain soft hose, especially if you’re worried about abrasion or everyday wear. I still wouldn’t abuse it or expect it to replace a long heavy-duty contractor hose, but for normal residential use it seems like a smart balance between convenience and durability.
This stainless steel garden hose is a practical upgrade over traditional rubber or expandable hoses, primarily because it is virtually impossible to kink. The outer shell is made from high-grade interlocking metal links that allow the hose to slide over rough surfaces, like concrete corners or gravel, without snagging or puncturing. I found that even when intentionally coiled tightly or stepped on, the water flow remains consistent.
The 3/4-inch solid brass fittings are a major plus, as they provide a much tighter seal than the cheap plastic connectors found on many retail hoses. These fittings are crush-resistant and include heavy-duty rubber washers that prevent the annoying leaks often seen at the spigot. Despite being made of metal, the hose is surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver around a yard, though it doesn’t “stretch” like a fabric hose—the length you buy is the length you get.
One thing to keep in mind is that while the metal stays cooler than black rubber in the sun, the fittings can still get hot if left in direct sunlight for hours. It is also much easier to roll back onto a hose reel because it doesn’t have the “memory” of a stiff rubber hose. It is a durable, low-maintenance tool for anyone tired of fighting with tangled hoses or dealing with dry rot and sun damage over time.
10 feet is already such a short hose length and this actually measured 9.5 feet from fitting to fitting even with some stretch. Describing it as a flexible metal hose is more accurate than expanding hose.
This is essentially a shower-style, small diameter hose with fittings for an outdoor faucet and spray nozzle.
Excellent fit on my faucet without needing the provided plumbers tape. The fittings do feel sturdy.
Appreciate the materials being lightweight while preventing kinks. High water pressure will make this hose flail around since it is so lightweight.
The product page now only lists longer hoses. The 10 foot hose is not available so deciding its value is difficult to say.
If you need a tiny hose for small range projects this hose is nice. My concern is durability for the flexible steel metal which will likely rust if it is in the elements. Directions state do not use this for drinking water.
