In the spring, I eagerly anticipate two activities: spending time outdoors and washing my car. However, I often hesitate to use traditional rubber garden hoses due to their weight and tendency to kink and bend around the car. Recently, I tried a stainless steel garden hose and was pleasantly surprised by its performance. Contrary to my expectations, the stainless steel hose was significantly lighter and remarkably flexible, despite its metal and rubber construction. Its thinner design made it easier to maneuver and store when not in use. This was wonderful new discovery in garden hose tech.
The hose fittings were straightforward to attach to either the faucet or as an extension to existing hoses. Additionally, the package included extra rubber gaskets to ensure a secure, leak-free connection, and the hose ends were designed to be longer, reducing the risk of bending stresses. For more permanent connections, sealing tape was also provided. These hoses offer a luxurious experience at an affordable price point and have become my preferred choice for outdoor tasks and car maintenance. These are my go-to hoses now when working outside or around the car. I’ve seen the benefits of a kink-free hose and this is the going forward. Highly recommended.
Well made but short.
This is a review for a “10 ft Stainless Steel Garden Hose – All New 2026 Metal Water Hose with 3/4″ Solid Brass Fittings.” The hoses now being sold at this link appear to be something different – a fabric-coated non expandable hose.
The garden hose we received is well made from stainless steel with brass fittings, which is a big step-up in material quality compared to a lot of plastic hoses out there today. It is non-expandable and even though made with a stainless steel outer shell, it is stil flexible enough to coil up easily for storage. We haven’t experienced any kinking, though with only a ten-foot length, there isn’t a lot to get kinked as with longer hoses.
We’re using this as an extension to another hose, since the length we received was only 10 feet. But we really like it and hopes that it will last a lot longer than the “pocket” type expandable hoses we’ve had to replace practically every year because they develop leaks or burst. Too bad the hose we got is not what is currently being offered here. Caveat emptor.
I didn’t know what to expect, but this thing is GREAT! It coils up very small, is way easier to maneuver than the huge contractor hose I replaced. We’ll see how it holds up, but so far, I really like this hose!
I am so very happy with this stainless steel hose
I ordered the 10 foot Stainless Steel Garden Hose with 3/4″ brass fittings. I’m so happy with this little hose. I was in need of a new garden hose since mine was leaking. This is a shorter hose at only 10 feet in length; however, it works the same as any other hose in that you can use more than one if you need to use it further away from the spigot. I actually hooked it straight to the spigot, but then used a second one to extend the length to test both ends for leaks. It did not leak either at the spigot or at the second connection. The hose comes with extra washers as well as teflon tape should you have any problems. I did not have to use either at this time, but I will save them in case I ever need them. Both ends have a cover as well as the brass fittings. They screw on easy at both ends. The hose is super light as well. That’s a huge relief after the heavy rubber hoses I had before. It’s so easy to move around, and they don’t kink up like other hoses. I hate pulling a long hose out only to discover no water is getting through because somewhere there’s a kink. I will be using this type of hose from now on. My back appreciates it, and it works great.
More flexible than I anticipated
I would describe this hose to be similar or the exactly the same thing as a shower hose only made to the size of a garden hose.
It is flimsy and very flexible. I’m not sure how well it’s gonna hold up but since I haven’t been using it for very long I cannot predict yet.
I was honestly shocked at how small and how flexible it is but I’m not gonna give it a low score until I used it for a while. If I like it better than my first impression, then I will increase the rating.
Handy close-up hose for hand watering - attractive for patios and porch areas. Durable!
These little 10 foot armored hoses have fought their way into my pantheon of hose choices. Besides hundreds of feet of classic 3/4″ rubber, and thousands of feet of PVC drip hose, etc. I find that I still need “convenience” hoses on a few bibs. These hoses need to be short, light, easy to coil and durable under routine conditions.
These 10′ and the 15′ version of the same fit that bill. While they don’t flow quite as much water as a 3/4″ rubber hose, they flow enough to make rain-shower-head style watering wands work to perfection. They are light too, so moving about with them is a joy. Since they don’t seem to easily tangle, watering stops being like fighting a wild animal and turns back into a fun and simple low-effort task.
Do avoid yanking them. While they are hard to kink and the ends have strain relief, it is possible to yank a kink in them that will destroy the inner hose lining, leading to a leak. They are basically unrepairable if you do this, so you’ve been warned.
Housings are not rusting after 2 years, so I reckon that is “stainless enough” for me. I buried them under river rock in some cases to act as irrigation transfer hoses. They seemed to survive this o.k., though I’m still leery of doing that a lot, as one buried hose came up leaking the next year. I’m not sure it was from being buried, but something made it spring a leak.
But for normal uses at hose bibs on your back patio or side yard, these are pretty nice.
Five stars – sturdy attractive short-run hose gets it done. Durable stainless steel exterior is a love it / hate it feature. Heavy duty strain relief and quality brass standard GHT M/F connections are easy to work with.
