Firm and supportive stomach reading pillow!
Friends, this is such a nice pillow for those of us that read or doom scroll on our stomachs! Foam is firm but has a little give to it. Ideally you would be on your stomach to use this but I have propped it upright and it’s great for gaming in bed with a better posture! Material is cool and refreshing, not absorbing much of your body heat. Like what you wish for on a hot summer evening. Price is solid with the level of support you’re getting and the cover is machine-washable which is nice depending on how much you end up falling asleep and drooling on it, haha! All-in-all great pillow with great support but stays cool the entire time!
Very comfortable pillow for reading
I really like to read laying on my stomach, and this pillow is perfect for that. I don’t have to keep figuring out how to prop myself up or having some part of my body fall asleep. It’s very comfortable. The foam inside is very soft, but it supports you well without being too firm. I recommended for anybody who likes to read, play on their phone, or play video games on the tablet and likes to be face down.
Great pillow for readers!
First things first, this thing needed to sit out and air for a few days; one, to shape up nicely, and two, to rid it of a chemical type smell. After a few days though, either I became nose blind, or the smell dissipated.
As for the pillow, I’m actually quite happy with it. It is comfortable and supports me nicely. I will say, I’m 5’8″ and around 150 lbs, and this supported me without issue. It is a good size and allowed me to lay on my stomach or back without issue. The cover material is nice, but I ended up putting a thin sofa throw I had over it, and I use it like that.
For the price, this is a decent pillow, especially for those that like to lay on their stomach’s. I’m a reader, so this has been great for me to use while I’m reading.
Multifunctional and supportive for most body types
I have loved every pillow I have received from the MOONYOOY brand thus far and this Ergonomic Prone & Reading Zoned Memory Foam Wedge Pillow is just as high quality a product as I would expect. It is soft, but firm memory foam and includes a removeable, washable cover that is cool to the touch and soft with anti-slip silicone dots on the bottom. It took a good week and a half to air out the lovely memory foam scent. This particular pillow has some good and bad points and here they are in no particular order:
* It is incredibly uncomfortable to use while laying on my stomach causing painfully compressed breasts. The width doesn’t allow for my arms to sit properly and the chin rest is too low to actually rest my chin on; these might not be issues for someone larger than me at 5’1.5″). If you have a similar build to me and need a better pillow for reading while laying on the stomach, get the MOONYOOY “Ergonomic Reading Pillow for Bed, Premium Memory Foam Wedge Pillow for Prone, Leaning & Back Support, Cooling Ice Silk Cover for Couch & Headboard Relaxation – Sky Blue.” It is perfect for this position and doesn’t crush the chest.
* Flipping over onto my back, the highest point doesn’t provide enough neck support for semi upright reading, but is fine for just laying on my back and would be quite supportive for sleeping. It is also slightly too short to lay back with my head on the highest point as pictured in the listing; I kept slipping off the pillow at the bottom edge.
* It does work well for reading laying on my back with an additional neck pillow (not included) and is wide enough to support my shoulders too.
* It is fabulous for seated back support with the pillow upright on its edge with the chin rest as the base. It provides spectacular support for the lumbar area and allows me to use the MOONYOOY “Ergonomic Curved Lap Desk Pillow for Gaming & Reading,” which I recently received, unimpeded. Adding a neck pillow offers additional support for upright relaxing for watching TV or reading.
* I cannot use this for my legs as pictured in the listing, as I find the angle too severe.
I mostly love this pillow, as it is incredibly versatile, and I knew I would love it which is how I ended up with two of them (one with a blue cover). Well worth the $56.68 (when ordered, currently $53.86) and I would highly recommend picking one up.
NOTE: As this is the exact same pillow as the blue one I received, I have decided to leave it in the box and store it away for the inevitable day when the blue one dies, so all images except for the box top are of the blue pillow.
Great support and comfort for reading in bed
I ordered this for my husband since he likes to sit up in bed and watch his iPad, and it has made a big difference for his comfort. It gives him the support he needs for his back so he is not slouching or constantly adjusting pillows.
The shape of the wedge is really comfortable and provides a smooth incline that feels natural. It supports his upper body well without putting pressure on his neck, which he noticed right away. He has also used it lying on his stomach and said it feels just as comfortable in that position.
The memory foam feels high quality and holds its shape while still being soft enough to relax into. It is supportive without feeling too firm, which works well for longer use.
The cover is soft and breathable, and it is easy to remove and wash, which is a nice bonus. It stays cool and does not feel stuffy even after using it for a while.
Overall, this has been a great purchase for comfort in bed. It works well for reading, watching shows, and just relaxing, and it has really helped improve his back support.
Underestimated, blown away, and very happy!
Moonyooy, I’m so sorry I doubted you! I saw this, and was honestly not impressed at first. I do love to relax on my front while digitally socializing, reading or playing handhelds. I decided to give it a try anyway, and I’m so glad I did. Even as I got it initially, I’m scoffing as it was tightly vacuum sealed. Once I let it expand though. My mindset was already wavering into a new one. I was actually pleasantly surprised with how big it truly ended up being(some heckin good compacting and vacuum sealing). Once I tried it, I was so very happy. Not only was it more comfortable than my pillows. It maintained it’s shape as I lie on it for a while, and the textured bottom made it stable, no sliding around on my bed. The shape gave me plenty of room for my arms at the side, the head to rest on the end, and plenty more room still to use my devices. All while super comfortable, no harsh angled lift! When I was done, I was not left with any soreness at all. The material feels super durable while maintaining a mix of supporting firmness, and cushiony softness. The texture of the foam pillow feels nice on the skin, no irritation even on extended use. From the box it smelled nice and clean, not chemically! I keep it nearby at all times. A friend of mine loved it so much they initially begged to have it before buying their own when I said no, haha! The price is ultra fair as I’ve had various types of pillows, cushions and supports over my life. For the great quality, and chill-ability without repercussions makes this a fantastic personal buy, or a gift for people who you know they like to be in such positions.
