Product description

This replaces the ice maker for certain GE Profile Fridge ice maker.
I used this unit to replace the original ice maker in my GE Profile Fridge model PVD28BYNCFS. The fridge is 6 years old and had stopped making ice but the water dispenser still worked fine. I tried to get the original to work again by uninstalling it, removing the motor cover and forcing it to turn. Although I was successful, upon reinstallion the unit still wouldn’t work. This is a simple item to replace. You remove 2-3 screws, disconnect 2 connections, remove the old unit then reverse the steps putting in the new unit. Within 24 hours I had ice again. I’ve included a picture of the 2 connectors you’ll need to work with. Easy job!
