I was skeptical about this item, but really wanted it to work because I liked the idea of it. It fits my 2021 Ford F-250 perfectly. It took me a moment to figure out exactly how to open it because I have mounts on my dash, but it was easy after that. I just hope it lasts. It does seem slightly flimsy as far as the opening mechanism is concerned. Time shall tell.
Much better than the usual “fold ’em”, “twist the wires into a circle” design. Not exactly like an umbrella, but similar. Expands much faster and easier than all the others I’ve used. It doesn’t exactly fold back on its own, which is why I gave 4 stars. Probably should be 4 1/2. To take it down, I simply pull the center back, which makes it into a smaller size. I don’t bother using the original case – too much like a rain coat that you can never get back into that little case it came in. Overall, really nice and no frustration unfolding/folding those awkward, big, silver ones.
Keeping things cool
Easy to use and store away. Compact size and no weird folding. Definitely helps keep my truck cooler and worth the price. Also covers the entire windshield in my F150
