This is an impressive windshield sunshade. It took only a few minutes to set up. I had selected the size large that was recommended in the chart for my make, model and year of my Chevy SUV. It fit perfectly over my windshield. I hooked it over the mirror and under the visors and the set up was done. I didn’t even have to look at the directions it is so easy to install.
It is an attractive windshield cover that rises above others I have had. The premium layered structure reduces the temperature in my car, so I don’t step into a burning hot car when I am out running errands for the day. It also protects my dashboard and interior from damage from sunlight.
The description states that the sunshade is easy to fold up to store in the case. I took off one star because I don’t find that to be the case. I could not figure out how to fold the sunshade with the wire around the edge, and I gave up after several tries. I am a photographer and I have a light filtering sunshield that is made with the same wire construction. I have had it for many years, and I could never get it to fold to fit into the case it came with. The video that is on the site displays how the windshield sunshade is installed but it skips and doesn’t include a demonstration on how to fold it up. I was inclined to take off 2 stars because it is large and takes a lot of space when not folded. Though, the sunshade is so attractive and high quality, I only took off one star.
The AUTOWOEL Windshield Sunshade is a great value with a discount offered at the time I write this review. I love this sunshade and enjoy not having to get into an oppressively hot car. Though, I do hope an additional video or directions are given on how to fold up the sunshade for folks like me that can’t figure it out.
Please read full review for why this product is worth the price. I have to admit that I requested this product out of shear curiosity. My questions were, how can a windshield shade be worth this much? How different can it really be from less expensive and midrange sun shades?
Those questions also answered a the question, is this Vine program really worth manufactures submitting products. Answers are: This program is very valuable and this product is the perfect example.
When I first got it, I thought, no way could this be any better, it’s thin but it does feel like very durable material, but how can such thin material keep out the heat? So I experimented, also useful part of this program so you don’t have to.
Result: it’s crazy how much difference this sun shade makes. This sun shade should be called a heat shield.
It is oversized so it’s easy to install into every nook and cranny of your window. Just take your time at first, don’t rush it and you’ll understand. Then it’s easy to pop it in and is super quick to fold up. The storage bag is very well made and super convenient. The boarder is very flexible and the expert, obviously scientific, material the manufacturer uses it beyond comparison to other sun shades. The stitching is sound and amazingly, the temperature difference is terrific and it’s so refreshing to have a seller present such accurate information.
Personally I like the color and it makes it easier to spot my car. I am looking forward to not burning myself on my seats this summer and not having to wait for the AC to cool off the steering wheel.
I could go on, but you really have to experience the difference yourself to understand. Words and pictures don’t do this sun barrier shield justice.
This sunshade is worth every penny to protect your vehicles interior, and it’ll you’ll be just fine this summer wearing shorts. Quality manufacturing, excellent stitching, convenient storage. You’ve spent a lot of money on your vehicle. Your vehicle’s interior will thank you for taking care of it so it will last longer and retain it value.

A really nice sunshade
I would give this more than 5 stars if I could. My friend has a sunshade, and I thought it made sense. I had only seen the really inexpensive ones that are accordion-folded from coated cardboard. I wanted something a bit more substantial. I have not been let down.
The first step was to find the right size for my car in the charts provided in the listing. When I received the sunshade, it was the correct size for my car and fit well. I was most impressed by the fabric they used for the sunshade. Let’s start with the shade itself. It is made on a wire frame and can be twisted into a small, round disc. The disc is then put into a pouch for storage. The sun shade sits between the center console and the passenger seat, making it easy for me to reach it. What’s really unique about this sunshade is the fabric they used for the shade. The fabric is man-made and is quite supple, soft, and substantial. Its really interesting. I have faith that it will be durable over a long period of time due to these attributes.
I wholeheartedly recommend this sunshade- it is heads and tails ahead of any sunshade that I’ve ever seen!
Medium Size: Fits 2002 Highlande
This fits the windshield of my 2002 Highlander, in part due to the separation in the middle. It allows for the frames to overlap or get closer as needed providing a solid, snug fit. I don’t even have to put down the visors to keep it in place.
The cutout and velcro tab for the rear view are a nice touch, although I don’t find myself using the velcro. The first time I did use it, and completely forgot it was attached and nearly took my rear view mirror off. So I just leave that undone for easier takedown.
This does a much better job at deflecting heat than my old sun shade. The extra, advanced layers of cooling fabric, insulation and heat blocking materials really do a great job of keeping whatever heat they can out of the car. My steering wheel isn’t hot anymore (my old sun shade still let my steering wheel get hot somehow) and I really like this.

This is one of the best sunshades I have owned. I’ve had nearly a dozen sunshades over the years and this is clearly one of the best.
Most of the sunshades I own are made of very thin reflective fabric. In contrast, this sunshade is made of thick fabric. It’s a noticeable difference.
Also most sunshades I’ve owned have black on the inside and a reflective material on the other side. This has the same light green material on both sides. That has its pros and cons.
An advantages is that it can be used on either side which is nice, since either side is the same color. A disadvantage is that it will not blacken out the car inside as a darker color would do. Also the light green may not be as reflective. However, if I had my choice between the thicker light green fabric or a thin fabric with different colors, I would choose the light green fabric.
Also most of my older sunshades have metal circle frames inside which are thin. This has a much heavier duty metal frame and it’s square rather than circular. The square helps it cover the sides of the windshield much better than circles.
In addition, my older sunshades do not have a opening in the middle top. This has been a problem especially with the older shades trying to cover a dash cam. Having the middle slit with a velcro strip to put it around your rear view mirror and dashcam is extremely convenient.
It comes with one of the nicest bags I’ve ever gotten with a sunshade. However, the bag has a pretty unpleasant oder to it. I am still airing it out.
I’m using this on a third generation Toyota Sienna minivan. The XXL fits in the windshield very well. I’m very please with the sunshade. It is not your typical cheap thin sunshade but well made and heavy duty. I definitely recommend it.
I ordered the large and it almost perfectly fit my 2019 RX350. It’s slightly bigger than the window area so it bows in a bit, but not a big deal at all. The windshield coverage is perfect.
They have excellent customer service that will ensure you get one that fits perfectly to your car.
It’s very easy to fold and unfold and tuck away. It’s made of the average quality material that most other sun shades are made of. It definitely helps with protecting the dashboard area and keeping your steering wheel cooler.
The only thing that I didn’t like about it is that it stunk! It stunk really bad at first. I couldn’t put it in my car the first week. Tried hand washing it and leaving it out in the sun. That helped. Then after it was in my car for a few days, the smell was gone.
Ease of use and definitely helps with temperature
Easy to use. Stays put. Keeps the car at least 20 cooler maybe more. I have black leather seats, black leather steering wheel and I couldn’t touch it or sit on the seats before I used this. Love the umbrella affect makes it so much easier and quicker for getting in and on the vehicle.
