Excellent Hard Case for the DJI Mini 5 Pro, with One Missing Storage Optio
I love this hard case. I never felt like my DJI Mini 5 Pro was truly protected in the original soft bag, so this feels like a major upgrade in both protection and organization. The cutouts are very precise, and I really like how the drone and each accessory have their own dedicated place. Everything fits snugly, which gives me a lot more confidence when transporting it.
The overall build quality is also excellent. The shell feels sturdy, the latch system is solid, and the case gives off that reassuring heavy-duty feel you want for something carrying expensive gear. I also have not personally tested the waterproof claim, but based on the way the rubber seal closes and how the latches compress the lid down, I do feel confident that it is designed well for keeping out water and dust.
My only real complaint is that I wish they had included a dedicated section for spare propellers. I always like to keep an extra set with me in case I crash and need to swap them out. I found a workaround by storing them in the third battery compartment since I usually keep one battery installed in the drone, but it still would have been nice to have a proper space for them built into the layout.
Overall, this is a very well-made case that feels much more protective than the stock bag. If you want a safer and more organized way to store your DJI Mini 5 Pro and accessories, this is a great option.

This case just underscores the progress being made in rugged, watertight cases today at a much gentler price point. This is a case for a DJ1 Neo2 drone, control equipment, and accessories. The construction is rugged and the seals are extremely well done. The lip which mates with the rubber gasket is smooth and the rubber gasket is a foam-type with good rebound after pressure is relieved on it. There is a pressure equalization/relief valve to equalize internal pressure with the outside pressure and allow the case to be opened more easily. Also there are voids just below the latches in which the fingers may be placed to hold the case down while pulling up on the lid.
The catches have buttons to enable them to be released … a very nice touch. There are two holes in the lips of the box and the lid to accommodate a pair of padlocks and those holes contain metal ferrules to hamper a thief with a pocket knife from cutting the plastic away to gain access. The handle is nicely covered with a very comfortable, soft, pliant gray rubberized compound grip, very gentle on the hands. Hinges are hung on what appear to be stainless steel pins, but the hinges do not run all the way across like piano hinges.
When the lid is opened, there is a detent position at which the lid stops … just a bit past 90 open. The inner divider for the various pieces is stout and cleanly cut. It may be simply pulled out for laundering or if anyone might want to carry something else in it. This would make a nice carry-on. TIP: if the divider is removed, a large neoprene mouse pad may be cut and glued in to form a nice floor mat at the bottom. The upper egg carton padding is glued in place and cannot be removed without incurring a lot of cleanup work.
Weight and carriage of this case is first rate and I highly recommend it as a superb Amazon value. Five Star Review!
Everything in its place
This is a well built case that holds your drone securely. The per-cut foam fits like a glove. This case is designed to fit both controllers that are sold with the Mini 5. To fit the larger controller you just have to remove the insert. The case is larger than the one that is shipped with the Mini 5 but it keeps the drone and accessories out of the water and dust free. The release has a catch that has to be depressed before the case will open preventing accidental opening. I really like the contrasting color stripe, it adds a nice accent. The case is large enough that it fits the cover for my controller so I didn’t have to remove it to fit in the case which is a really nice touch. It does not have a carrying strap and no way to attach one.
Great storage care for my DJI Mini.
I picked this up to protect a Mini “Fly More” style setup and it’s a solid hard case if you want something more rugged than a soft bag. The shell feels tough, the latches close tight, and it’s the kind of case you can toss in the truck or boat without worrying about your gear getting crushed.
The insert is the big win. Everything has its own cutout, so the drone, controller, batteries, and hub aren’t bouncing around. The smooth EVA top layer is nice too because it doesn’t collect fuzz and dust like the rough foam cases do, and it stays looking clean.
The IP67 sealing is a nice layer of peace of mind. I’m not planning to dunk it on purpose, but for rain, mud, and general outdoor abuse, it’s built the way you’d want. Handle feels solid, and I like the lock holes if you want to throw a small padlock on it for travel.
Only thing I’d tell anyone is to double check your exact model and controller (RC 2 vs RC-N3) against the pictures, because “precision cut” is great when it matches, and annoying when it doesn’t. But if it’s the right layout for your kit, this is a quality protective case and worth it.
