    Very nice product!
The Vantrue N4 Pro S dash cam has been a great addition to my car. The three-channel setup with front, rear, and interior cameras provides full coverage, which makes me feel much more secure during daily driving and longer trips. The video quality is clear and detailed, both during the day and at night, with license plates and surroundings easy to capture. It also offers a variety of useful modes, such as loop recording, and emergency lock, all of which are easy to use and set up. The interior camera is especially helpful in certain situations. Overall, the build quality is solid and the performance is reliable. I’m very satisfied with it.

A good product worthy to buy
Solid build quality and great packaging. The app is well-designed and very user-friendly.It was to update the firmware via the app during setup. When I ran into a minor voltage issue, the seller provided a quick and effective solution.
The three-channel recording is impressive—very sharp footage, and I can easily read license plates even when zoomed in. The emergency collision recording is a great feature to have.
Just a heads-up: the included manual is brief, so I’d recommend downloading the full manual from their website for more details.

Best 3-channel system I've used, but prepare to spend a bit more to achieve full benefi
I’ve gone through multiple dashcams in the last 5 years, most perform well during the day but just lousy at night. I’ve been looking for one that could effectively capturre facial details and license plates at least 30 to 40 ft away when illuminated directly by my car’s headlights. This Vantrue is coming fairly close to meeting these requirements.

Firstly, the video quality from all three cams (front, rear and inside the cabin) is very good, and thanks to the Sony STARVIS 2 sensors in all three cameras (hence the high price point). This is unusual as most other 3-camera or dual-camera brands often only use the Sony sensor for the front, and lesser quality sensors for the inside and rear cams to lower the price point.

The 4K front camera is very sharp during the day. Road signs, lane markings, license plates are highly readable. At night, the headlight lit road signs and the streetlight glare don’t get blown out like my other dashcams. I can still make out faces illuminated by the headlights through the windshield at around 20 to 30 ft, as well as read plates under difficult backlight conditions. There’s sufficient and usable detail in darkness areas that other dashcams wouldn’t be able to pick up anything. It’s definitely obvious that the PlatePix HDR processing reallyy helped to improve plate readability in low light.

The rear camera has a 2.5K sensor, and is also a significant step up from what I had before. Where it was mounted above the rear license plate, the video produces clean, identifiable footage of vehicles behind me even through the headlights of the trailing car. This never happened with my previous dashcams.

There’s also a parking mode that seems to work well, but requires purchasing a separate hardwire kit to connect to the fuse panel to draw constant power. I had an older & weak car battery and it drained it after the car was parked for about 3 days. Also, sometimes it seems to auto-initiate from just the wind buffering the car. The video captured via the parking mode is of obvious lower quality with low framerate and low bitrate, but sufficient given the action that typically triggers parking mode recording is close to the car.

The overall build quality is solid. Each camera module isn’t the lightest in its class, but doesn’t matter once mounted. It has a smart modular design, with the GPS unit doubling as the mount, and the camera snaps on magnetically, which is super convenient compared to the other brands that uses adhesive and velcro. There’s a magnetic side panel that covers the SD card slot, which makes it easy when inserting or removing the card.

It uses a supercapacitor instead of a lithium battery, which is safer on those hot days when my car’s black interior tends to heat up like an oven under the sun. It should also perform better in freezing weather in the winter.
When all cameras are in use, the front cam runs warm, but never hot.

Here’s a few more things to know:
    – The display on the main cam isn’t touchscreen; would have been nice to have, especially given the high price point.
    – Transferring video via Wifi is slow, actually not much faster than my other dashcam setups.
    – I use Android Auto with my Galaxy phone, and the Vantrue app connects slower (startup seems to take around 10 seconds), so Android Auto almost always connects first, and if I need to use the Vantrue app with the cams, I need to disable Android Auto and then manually reconnect the cams.
    – You have to buy your own SD card.
    – The interior camera adjusts only up or down, and not left or right; so when you set it up, make sure it’s centered to capture the entire width of the interior.

Clear footage. MicroSD and parking mode kit sold separately.
This three-channel dash cam is a solid upgrade from a basic front-only setup. Having front, interior, and rear recording makes the whole system feel much more comprehensive. The video quality is one of the strongest parts of this system. Daytime footage on all three cameras is quite clear and detailed, and lower-light performance is still respectable. I consider being able to make out license plates, signs, and general road details to be one of the main reasons for having a dash cam, and this one does a good job of that. The wide-angle coverage also helps, since it captures much more of what is happening around the vehicle than a single front camera ever could. For a three-camera setup, installation was easier than I expected. The included clips and trim tool helped keep the wiring neat. The rear camera adjustment is also useful, since it lets you fine-tune the angle without much hassle. Once everything is installed and in place, the setup feels tidy and secure rather than awkward or cluttered. It then becomes something you can stop thinking about, which is exactly what I want from a dash cam. It turns on when I start the car, records reliably in the background, and turns off when I shut off the vehicle. The day-to-day features are also well done. App access is convenient when I want to check footage without pulling the card, GPS adds useful supporting information, and the voice controls are a nice extra once you get used to them. Essentially, the system feels easy to live with, which matters just as much as the recording quality.

It should be mentioned that this package does not include a microSD card or the parking mode kit; both must be purchased separately.

All in all, this is a dependable dash cam that strikes a good balance between performance and convenience.

I'm quite impressed. It's great, though it has a few things I wished was better.
This new dashcam is seriously impressive because it does what it needs to and the image quality is great and it’s 3 channels.

There are some negatives, but I don’t feel they detract from the experience enough to knock off ratings for.

First, this uses the Sony Starvis 2 lens and it is great. It captures perfect high quality images during the day and at night it does a pretty good job as well. There is even a special software to attempt to clear up and make plates readable in poor lighting and it works fairly well. It’s not perfect, but I appreciate the attempt.

Design wise, it’s a long cylindrical shaped system with a magnetic “quick” release to the GPS module which is what mounts it to the car. I’m not sure how I feel about it because the shape and size doesn’t make it very stealth like, which I would prefer for expensive camera systems like this. There is a decent sized LED screen, but it’s not touch screen like some others I have in this price range. This makes menu navigation and setup kind of a pain, but thankfully, if you quickly jump through the base setup and install the app, you get full access to the menu and can quickly go through those settings and what appears to be hidden settings not on the dashcam (at least I couldn’t find them on the physical device).

It’s got a lot of features for a cam, but I also couldn’t find travel features that some other companies put in, like lane departure warning, traffic light warnings, etc. Which is fine because drivers should be paying attention more. Though, in this price range, I would have thought they would have them.

The big thing here is it’s a high quality 3 channel system. This means front, back and car cabin camera. This is especially useful for drivers that pick up people for a living and want some extra security in case of bad interactions. The restriction is the cabin cam can only be rotated up and down and not towards any side. So you can’t record and interaction with someone on the side (depending on where you install it).

This has a large and easily accessible power button that also acts as a quick snapshot/save button. This is really nice since the others I’ve seen had nothing like that and required going through menus to achieve the same. It’s also magnetic and the MicroSD slot is hidden underneath.

It is definitely a solid dashcam system and will do the job and will do it well. Especially if you need 3 channels.

The miscellaneous stuff that adds and detracts from the experience is:

    1. Manual is large, detailed and multi language. Feels professional. Most give you a single sheet if at all.

    2. No MicroSD included. Which was kind of the norm, but a number of similarly priced units from other companies include one now, so it would have been nice to get one.

    3. 12v cigarette charge port included only. You need to get yourself a hardwire kit to make use of parking mode. So I didn’t test parking mode (so not going to review that part), but the option is there if needed.

    4. Wi-Fi connections to the app was fairly easy and it’s a huge plus to be able to setup and change settings via the app as it’s just so much easier and quicker.

    5. Comes with cabling, wipes, electrostatic stickers, and warning stickers.

    6. There’s a number is other features I didn’t really test much and need to really explore such as the various voice command capabilities and parking mode. So I may update this review once I do those.

    Best dashcam upgrade I've made
My old dashcam was a basic two-channel setup that worked okay but the rear camera footage was pretty useless at night, just a grainy mess that couldn’t identify anything useful. The Vantrue N4 Pro S has solved every complaint I had with my previous system and added features I didn’t even know I wanted.

The installation took about an hour including routing the rear camera cable all the way to my truck bed, the hardest part was figuring out the cleanest path to run the wiring but once I watched a couple install videos it made sense. The front camera mounts behind the rearview mirror and stays out of my sight line completely, I forget it’s there until I need to review footage. The interior camera angles down from the windshield mount and covers the entire front seat area plus most of the back seats, which is perfect for my needs since I occasionally have passengers and want documentation if anything weird happens.

What really blew me away was the rear camera performance, I mounted it on the outside near my license plate like the instructions suggested and holy cow the difference is night and day compared to mounting inside through rear glass. I can read license plates clearly now even at night from vehicles behind me, yesterday some guy was tailgating me aggressively on the highway and I captured his plate perfectly plus his face through his windshield. With my old camera that would have been a blurry mess. The 2.5K resolution combined with that Sony sensor makes everything sharp and detailed, I tested it by reviewing footage from different times of day and it handles everything from bright sunlight to dusk to complete darkness really well. The parking mode has already proven its worth, I came out to my truck on Thursday morning and found a small dent in my rear bumper that wasn’t there the night before. Checked the dashcam footage and sure enough someone backed into me around 3am, got their license plate clear as day and filed a police report with the video evidence. Without this camera I would have been stuck paying for that damage myself. The collision detection woke the camera up automatically when it felt the impact and recorded the whole incident.

The WiFi connection to my phone works smoothly, I can pull up footage right from the parking lot instead of waiting until I get home to check the memory card. The app interface is pretty straightforward, took me maybe five minutes to figure out all the functions. Voice control is something I haven’t used much yet but it’s there if I want to save a clip hands-free while driving.

Top quality flagship camera for complete driving protectio
Triple Camera System for Ultimate Protection
Best-in-Class Starvis 2 Sensors for Night Vision.
    Upgraded Rear Resolution
    Weatherproof Versatility
    Future-Proof Connectivity
    Extreme Temperature Resilience
    High Storage Capability
Flagship Tax (unavoidable at this level)
    Large Windshield Footprint
    No 60FPS option

TL;DR: if you do ride-share (e.g. Uber), food delivery, vehicle-reviews, road-trip videography, track-days, contribute to a dash-cam channel, or just want to protect yourself against liability or fraud, this is a high quality flagship dash-cam that will provide fantastic results.

It feels like the high-trust society we once enjoyed may be disappearing for good and we now have to protect ourselves against people committing “crash for cash” insurance fraud, hit-and-runs, vandalism and theft, heck even the police can be handing out false traffic citations whether intentionally or by mistake or people may not fess up when they are the ones that have caused an accident. A dash-cam can be a great investment to protect you legally by proving you weren’t liable and providing the evidence of who was.

Well, a good quality dash-cam that is – because if all you end up with is a fuzzy or blurred low resolution snippet with impossible to make-out number plates, if it captured anything at all, well it could turn out to be useless. This is a really high-end camera that not only captures what’s happening in front of your vehicle but also the drivers behind you and anyone inside the cabin, possibly passengers.

Sony really have captured the market when it comes to sensors for security cameras, dash-cams, and smart telescopes and this has 3 of the latest Starvis 2 sensors providing excellent image capture in any light conditions, even darkness for both the front, rear, and internal cameras. They are augmented with some clever image processing to enhance what’s captured whatever the lighting so number plates are always clear and readable. The 4K front camera is of course great quality but even the rear camera is 2.5K / 1440P plus it’s also IP67 waterproof if you want to mount it externally.

It uses a super-capacitor rather than lithium batteries – this means it works safely in extreme hot and cold conditions and will last much longer than a battery would.

A parking mode will detect if your vehicle is hit or bumped while parked further protecting your vehicle even when you’re not driving it, with a buffered recording so you see what happened prior to and after the trigger. When you are on the road, the GPS mount will provide a log of your speed and journeys which could be another legal protection in its own right or make it easier to track mileage for work or business.

Even the WiFi is upgraded from the typical ye-olde 2.4 Ghz that most IoT devices support to 5 Ghz for faster video downloads (especially useful given there are 3 video streams and the front camera is 4k resolution).

The only thing not included in the box (because there are a few different options to pick from) is a hardwire kit, but those are reasonably priced and an SD card where you can buy the capacity to suit your needs (factor in that you’ll need a larger one for the multiple high-res channels). You do get a 12v car power adapter (what used to be the cigarette lighter) which you can use to get up and running but you’ll need the hardwire kit to benefit from the 24/7 monitoring.

Because it has to house so much processing power it’s not the smallest most inconspicuous camera, which I see as a good thing, so it has a decent sized screen and easy to navigate menu system but there are voice commands for hands-free operation while driving, such as locking the video, taking a photo etc…

Yes, it’s one of the more expensive dash-cams as you’d expect from a flagship device but considering how well it performs, how long it should last, and how important it could be it is still great value for the technology you get. The quality of a 4K dash-cam like this is now at the point that there’s little point increasing the resolution further so I wouldn’t be surprised if specs start to plateau, making it an ideal time to invest in a good quality one.

Given the cost and it’s capabilities, I think adding the Circular Polarizing filter is a no-brainer.

Would've liked a hotwire cable included for the price
This camera system isn’t too, too bad to install, but for $400 I would think that the cable to hardwire the camera in wouldn’t be an optional item, as well as the lens filter. That being said, this is a very nice camera system, and I would also add that if you’re not familiar with camera placement, and preparator work, I would suggest to read the manual, as there is only 9 pages, and it’s a pretty easy read, and you wouldn’t want the camera to fall of the windshield for the lack of preparation, I wouldn’t think. I say these things since I almost disregarded them, and in reading, found that would be a mistake. All in all, it is a very easy and straight forward installation. This camera does so much other than the recording as you will see in the manual, and it may seem daunting at first, it is not that bad, since you won’t use every option on a daily basis, but just having them available is a win, win situation. I love the quality of the camera, and I, after the install, wanted to get some video of it working, however, 17″ of snow precludes me from pulling out of my rather long uphill driveway. When (and if) I can get plowed out, I will edit this review with the video I promised. I do recommend this camera as it is of high quality as stated before, and is packed with features.
