Does a good job washing small items
I purchases this machine to wash reusable underwear for incontinence. It is battery operated with a rechargeable battery via a USB-C cable. It has a 4L capacity.
It takes approximately 2 hours to fully charge this unit and it comes with the necessary USB cable. There are 3 different wash settings; 6 minutes, 12 minutes and 20 minutes.
Once the item to be washed is placed in the unit, all you have to do is fill it with tap water and add detergent. For the purpose.of testing the machine, I used warm water, powder detergent and the 6 minute setting.
The machine spins for 10 seconds in one direction and then 10 seconds in the other direction, back and forth until the selected time is complete. When finished, the water was visibly dirty. The underwear were removed, rinces under tap water and hung up to dry. The underwear were clean beyond my expectations.
The washing machine is not only easy to use, but it is lightweight and durable enough to use anywhere. The time functions work with just a press.of the button. Just rinse with water and wipe clean. Highly recommended.
Wonderful and handy HAND WASHING machine
I had to reset my expectations when I got this product. I neglected to consider the features a mini, portable washing machine would be missing. For example, this mini “washing machine” cannot hook up to a water supply, does not drain into your home sewer, but also does not require constant electrical power.
This product is more accurately described as a ‘mini handwashing machine.’ With that in mind, I thoroughly enjoyed using it to hand wash my delicate items.
I first tried this on a new, fragile, frilly boho top. I used the 6min setting to agitate with soap, manually drained the dirty water by dumping it into the sink, squeezed out the water from the top, and then added clean water for another 6min rinse cycle. This hand washing machine did a decent job of cleaning the fragile top. It wasn’t heavily soiled, just worn once all day at a theme park.
This machine needs a ‘max fill line’ indicator on the plastic tub, as I almost unknowingly put too much water (see last photo). When the cycle is running, the centrifugal momentum almost resulted in water splashing and seeping through the top of the lid. I recommend filling this tub no more than 2/3 full of water, after your item is inside to avoid water seeping out.
The machine spins one direction for ten seconds and then stops and reverses direction for another ten seconds. It repeats this pattern for the duration of the cycle. It also emits an audible beep when the cycle is done. I love the interior lighting when in use and the countdown timer.
The machine is a little loud, considering its size. Think of the loudness of a handheld mixer.
I have now used this machine on two items, one item at a time. It is handy for “forgotten” items or delicate items like swimsuits and bras. A small, adult shirt or two sports bras is the max capacity. The battery life has not even diminished after running four cycles.
I definitely recommend this for hand washing small items. I would absolutely not recommend this for heavily soiled items like heavy mud or young kids’ soiled undies, as there is no way to clean or filter any sediment or soil that may settle underneath the agitator.
