Easy to use Tug Move
I am giving this 4 stars because it was missing most of the nuts and bolts. It was very difficult to reach out to the manufacturer for replacement parts, so I ended up purchasing them from a local hardware store. Once it was built though, there have been no problems. It took about an hour to build by myself, and was pretty easy. The tug mover has also really come in handy for moving my boat trailer out of the garage. It maneuvers very well and is easy to use. It is also constructed well and is quite sturdy. It’s compact shape is easy to store as well.

First, the packaging. The box was mostly destroyed and taped back together (double wall construction and woefully inadequate). Much too weak a box for something this heavy. The parts were pretty much in a pile inside what was left of the box. The parts bag (very thin), was torn and some small parts were rattling around inside the deformed box. Internal protection was also inadequate. The wheels (most important parts) were protected, but not enough to protect the painted parts from damage as the wheels are also very heavy.
Now the good news… Everything was there and did not suffer any major damage. A scratch here and there does not concern me. I also got an extra wheel that was different from the ones supplied for the dolly. It was plastic and did not belong. Not a bonus. Most likely a packing mistake.
I was able to put it together in about 30 minutes. I am 70 and a bit slower at things like this. Once together, this dolly is stout. It will most likely outlast me. It was very easy to move around. I feel that it will work as expected, but cannot confirm as I have not yet used it. If there are no added comments to this review, first use went well.
With what I received for my money, I gave it 4 stars. One removed for the packaging.
Manufacturer, take note: I know money is tight these days. It is for me as well. I think this dolly was a good value compared to other similar ones on Amazon, but it needs better protection for something of this weight. A few more dollars in packaging and you should expect higher sales and fewer returns.

I have used this dolly on several trailers. I am happy that I opted to spend the money to acquire a quality piece of equipment. The flexibility of this dolly in conjunction withs its solid construction, give me confidence that I will have and use it for a long time.
I love this thing.
I love this thing. So much easier to shuffle my trailers around my place instead of using my 2 wheel HF trailer mover. 2 of my trailers are 2″ balls and one is 2 5/8″ ball and this 2″ version moves all of them without issue. Solid construction, so this unit should last a lifetime with proper storage. takes about 20-30 minutes to assemble and then your off to the races. If you have a trailer or trailers you need to move around, this is the unit for you.
Awesome for Camper Maneuver in Tight Spaces!!
This trailer tug mover has been a tremendous help in moving my camper around without the use of a motor vehicle! This trailer tug mover is VERY heavy duty and strong. I am able to move my almost 5,000lb, 21foot camper around with it, with ease!
This is a high-quality item, and I am very happy with how well it works for me! I have a small area of cement I park my camper on in my yard, but it is difficult to maneuver my camper and car and back the camper up in such a small area. This trailer tug mover is a game changer and was so worth the price because the design of it makes it easy to move and steer my camper by hand. This is truly an amazing product! So happy I bought this! It will also be helpful to maneuver my camper around trees at small campsites this summer, without the use of my car!
Overall, I feel this trailer tug mover is very well built. The weld seams appear excellent, and the powder coating is thick and uniform. I have no doubt that it will last very well for many years. I live in Florida, and I would be surprised if this mover ever develops any significant rust.
The wheels are solid cast steel with a thick layer of polyurethane padding on the circumference. This provides the strength to handle heavy loads, and the smooth rolling over less than perfect concrete or other hard surfaces. They are 8″ x 2″, and are obviously sturdy enough to easily handle heavy loads. They may be a bit too narrow to handle well in very soft or heavily graveled surfaces, but shops, garages, parking lots, or other hard surfaces will have no problem.
All the steel components are very heavy duty as well. They are very thick and strong; with no weak links I can detect. I also like the wide ability to adjust the hitch ball. You can also easily remove and replace the current ball if your trailer tongue needs a different size.
There are just a few issues I encountered with my product that keep it from being a 5 star purchase. The first issue I had was that due to the very heavy weight of this product and no clear method of handling, it came with significant package tears. The bag with all the hardware isn’t secured inside or padded, so it split open and all the hardware got tossed around. I was missing one of the bolts for the wheels, 7 lock washers, 7 standard washers, and one of the cotter pins. I had most of the items in my personal inventory, but the 5/8th inch cotter pin wasn’t available, and I really couldn’t find a suitable one at my hardware store. I opted for a 3″ x 5/8″ hex bolt and self-locking acorn nut.
After assembling, the next problem appeared. The round head hex insert bolts are too long for the swivel to properly operate. Even without any load, it keeps hitting on the head (see photos). I had to replace them with a standard hex bolt and additional washer. This provides suitable clearance (see photos again).
One other last issue is that the handle stands completely vertical when the bumper is installed. It easily falls, and in my case, chipped the powder coat on the edge. Might also be a problem if there is a vehicle nearby (like when you are manuvering into place for your vehicle). I used a bungee cord, but there could be a bit of improvement like a latch or something which would be better overall.
If the issues I encountered hadn’t been there, I would have easily given this a 5 star review. It is a very good trailer tug mover. After making the changes mentioned, my mover is a 5 star product in my opinion.
