I had never cooked with titanium before but had read that it was a healthy, durable, non-stick option, so when I had the opportunity to try this frying pan out, I excitedly jumped at the chance. I’m so glad I did! This titanium skillet is everything I hoped it would be.
The even cooking you get from the heat distribution couldn’t be better. From chicken filets to scrambled eggs, the thorough and even heating and browning is probably the most perfect I’ve seen since I started cooking 50 years ago.
The first time I used it, I made scrambled eggs. I thought that would be a good test of both even cooking and ease of cleaning. I melted butter in the pan and swirled it around the edges, making sure to coat the inside completely. I had scrambled the eggs so they were ready to pour in, which I did. The actual cooking was kind of interesting; I was able to actually watch the eggs gradually change to a more solid mass with a darker color, steadily and evenly. And yes, they were just the right consistency and tasted yummy! I’ve cooked a few other things since the eggs and everything has been every bit as perfect.
I generally detest cleaning the skillet I make eggs in, but cleaning this one was a breeze. I soaked it with a little dish soap for about 20 minutes before taking a sponge to it. All the egg residue just wiped off easily! The result was the same after pan frying chicken breasts and brats but even easier because I just put it in the dishwasher!
I love to cook and this pan enhances that, as well as makes cleaning up easier. I highly recommend this excellent kitchen tool!
