Feels a real quality item
Impressive piece of kit. Really nice quality. Looks and feels like a normal picture frame and once an image is displayed is goes without a gadgety ‘ooh what’s that’ feel, I have had comments about the image displayed but not th edevice, people just assume its a photo in a photo frame. Nothing like the old fashioned digital photo frames, which is basically a small tv with a terrible picture. This new revamp of that idea is far superior.
Quality feel to the unboxing experience, like other products in white boxes! Quick guide is great to get you started. First things first, put it on charge, the device needs a decent battery level to allow it to update or to send an image over to it. Mine was 13% so it had to charge for a little while to be usable.
Took some playing about to figure out how to edit an image to be how you want it displayed, initially i sent my own image via the ai editor in the app and got a nice oil painting effect. Synced to frame but it was far darker/duller that I wanted so had to send again and edit the output/brightness etc. TO do that meant reuploading the image, or downloading it to then reupload to get back to the edit mode. Not that obvious but a quick search in an ai tool explained it.
Sending images without the AI tool adding its own input is possible if you have an image you want ‘as is’.
Battery at 2 years will be interesting but even at half that would be impressive, time will tell. In my short time its not dropped below 100% after the long charge time to begin with. It got to 50% quickly then slowly increased to 100%. Probably a good sign for battery longevity versus the usual rapid charge we are all used to ‘nowadays’.
App works well, I have some other Swithbot devices in my hose and the hub, not sure its required or Bluetooth connect might be all you need. Nice new toy to play with though. I like when you send the photo over the frame kind of develops it instead of just flashing it straight on. Not sure if its how the e-ink display works, and processes or just a gimmick. Happy to live in ignorance though!
Worked well for me with iPhone device and seems responsive. Noticed its a 2.4ghz Wifi connection only but worked for me straight off.
Great Foto Frame that looks real and not digital
Absolutely love this Frame. No matter if you use the cool AI Features or simply use as I do, as a Fotoframe. It looks nothing like a conventional digital frame, you think it’s a real Foto.
I loved it so much that I already ordered a 2nd.
No es un marco de fotos cualquiera
Soy bastante fan de SwitchBot desde hace tiempo y ya tengo varios de sus productos en casa, as que cuando vi que lanzaban marcos con tinta electrnica (encima en color) no pude resistirme.
Como amante de este tipo de pantallas, creo que tienen varias ventajas muy claras. La tinta electrnica en color ofrece una experiencia muy diferente a las pantallas tradicionales: es mucho ms agradable a la vista, no cansa y tiene un aspecto muy natural, casi como papel. Adems, para verla necesitas la luz ambiente lo que significa que no emite luz directamente. Esto lo hace perfecto para un dormitorio, ya que puedes dejarlo encendido sin que moleste nada.
Otro punto muy a favor es su batera. Gracias a esta tecnologa, puede durar hasta dos aos, as que te olvidas completamente de cables y de estar cargndolo constantemente. Esto le da un plus de comodidad y hace que encaje muy bien en cualquier parte de la casa sin necesidad de que haya un enchufe cerca.
En cuanto al tamao, aunque la pantalla es de 13 pulgadas, el marco en s es bastante ms grande, por lo que en la pared tiene bastante presencia y se siente ms como un cuadro que como un simple gadget tecnolgico.
Permite tener 10 imgenes en rotacin, lo que puede parecer que se queda un poco corto pero en mi opinin esto hace que solo pongas imgenes que realmente te gusten y no sea un almacenamiento de imgenes sin sentido.
Las fotos “normales” no son las que ms destacan. Donde realmente se le saca partido es con ilustraciones, imgenes con filtros o directamente arte. Por ejemplo, pinturas famosas quedan espectaculares.
En mi caso, lo que ms xito ha tenido en casa han sido los dibujos de los nios. Quedan muy bien, como si estuvieran impresos directamente en el marco. De hecho, tienes que acercarte bastante para llegar a notar los pxeles. Los nios estn encantados y se esfuerzan por hacer dibujos mejores ya que van a quedar expuestos en la pared.
Adems, tienen una aplicacin propia opcional para el tratamiento de imgenes que incluye funciones de inteligencia artificial. Permite mejorar fotos, aplicar estilos e incluso generar imgenes. Eso s, tiene un coste de 4,99 al mes. Incluye un mes de prueba y la verdad es que la herramienta es bastante potente. No s si compensa pagarla todo el ao, pero s la veo til para probarla o activarla puntualmente cuando quieras actualizar las imgenes del marco.
En resumen, estoy muy contento con el producto an siendo un producto muy particular. Es ideal si te gusta la esttica de la tinta electrnica y buscas algo diferente a los marcos digitales tradicionales.

La cornice smart con display e-ink di SwitchBot uno di quei prodotti che riescono a coniugare perfettamente tecnologia e design. A prima vista colpisce subito per la sua estetica: elegante, minimale, ma allo stesso tempo moderna, si adatta facilmente sia ad ambienti classici che contemporanei.
Uno degli aspetti pi interessanti il display e-ink, che restituisce un effetto molto simile alla carta stampata. Questo non solo valorizza le immagini, ma rende la cornice discreta e mai invasiva, perfetta anche per chi non ama gli schermi luminosi tradizionali.
Dal punto di vista pratico, la batteria un grande punto di forza: una ricarica completa richiede circa 6 ore e, secondo quanto dichiarato, pu durare fino a 2 anni. Questo significa praticamente dimenticarsi della manutenzione, un vantaggio enorme rispetto ad altri dispositivi smart.
La versatilit un altro elemento chiave. Pu essere sia appesa al muro sia appoggiata su un mobile grazie alla gamba integrata, adattandosi facilmente a qualsiasi spazio della casa.
Ma sul lato “smart” che questa cornice d il meglio di s. Tramite l’app SwitchBot possibile caricare foto personali oppure scegliere immagini da un repository dedicato. Molto interessante anche la funzione di generazione immagini AI, che permette di creare contenuti sempre nuovi e originali.
Inoltre, si pu decidere se mantenere un’immagine fissa oppure impostare una rotazione programmata delle immagini, trasformando la cornice in una vera e propria galleria dinamica. L’integrazione con le routine SwitchBot e i comandi smart completa il quadro, rendendola perfettamente inseribile in un ecosistema domotico.
In conclusione, un prodotto che unisce estetica, funzionalit e innovazione. Ideale per chi vuole dare un tocco tecnologico alla propria casa senza rinunciare allo stile.

During the initial first setup after adding pictures, I got in trouble with the WiFi connection. The support of Switchbot helped with fast and correct response. It works again.
The amount of in App art provided is large. Also it is easy possible to add onw pictures.
ART Frame, kein digitaler Bilderrahme
Du machst 50 Fotos die Sekunde mit deinem Smartphone und suchst einen digitalen Bilderrahmen, mit mglichst viel Speicherplatz, damit du dort alle hochladen kannst, dann ist das hier das falsche Produkt.
Der SwitchBot KI Art Frame prsentiert die Bilder unaufdringlich, mchte aber in Szene gesetzt werden. Es ist kein digitaler Bilderrahmen, auf den ich gedankenlos hunderte Fotos hochlade und alle 10 Sekunden ein anderes anzeigen lasse. Er zwingt mich dazu, mich mit den Motiven zu beschftigen. Der Auswahlprozess der anzuzeigenden Bilder erinnert eher an den Kauf eines Bildes, an das Erstellen einer Diashow. Nur dass ich hier auch noch, dank KI, eigene Bilder fr mich “malen” lassen kann.
Ich habe in der App Platz fr 500 Bilder, kann jedoch nur 10 auf den Art Frame laden. Das zwingt mich dazu, mir genauer zu berlegen, was ich hochlade und was nicht, welches Motiv und welchen Ausschnitt ich whle, vielleicht sogar mit Hilfe der KI den Style des Bildes komplett zu verndern. Der Art Frame macht was mit einem. Anfangs wollte ich ihn einfach nur auf ein Regal in einer dunklen Ecke stellen, inzwischen berlege ich, ob er nicht eher doch einen prominenten Platz an der Wand verdient, vielleicht sogar mit etwas Beleuchtung in Szene gestellt. Da das Display selbst nicht leuchtet, braucht es in dunklen Ecken Licht von auen.
Geliefert wird der Art Frame in einem groen und stabilen Karton. Innen ist alles mit dicken Schaumstoff ausgekleidet. Es wirkt fast schon albern, dass um den Rahmen zustzlich noch Eck-Schtzer aus Kunststoff angebracht sind. Der gebrstete, schwarze Rahmen wirkt edel. Das eigentliche digitale Bild (31x41x2 cm) kann entnommen und auch in einen anderen Rahmen eingesetzt werden.
Zur Montage gibt es Klebehaken fr glatte Oberflchen und Wandaufhngungen zum Nageln (gesehen habe ich sowas noch nicht). Wer will, kann den Rahmen auch anders aufhngen, wichtig ist nur, dass die 1,2KG sicher an der Wand bleiben.
Der technische Teil:
Geladen wird der Rahmen ber USB Typ C. Dazu muss er zwingend von der Wand abgenommen werden, weil der Anschluss hinten ist, ein Glck soll man nur alle 2 Jahre laden knnen. Eine LED zeigt das Laden an und mit einem Knopf kann man den Rahmen mit dem Handy koppeln.
Die Einrichtung ber die Switchbot App war gewohnt einfach. Auch das Firmware-Update nach der Ersteinrichtung wundert nicht, immerhin ist das Produkt noch sehr neu.
Ich kann den Art Frame mit Smart-Home-Lsungen von Alexa, Google und auch Home Assistant (Bluetooth und Cloud) koppeln, um dann das nchste Bild anzuzeigen (wenn ich unbedingt will).
Sonst kann ich in der App noch auswhlen, ob der Rahmen Hochkant oder Quer steht und ob ein statisches Bild angezeigt haben will oder das Bild sich alle 15 Min bis 24 Std ndern soll. Mehr gibt es hier erstmal nicht.
Wenn ich eines der bis zu zehn Fotos auf den Rahmen lade, dann kann ich noch Sttigung, Kontrast, Helligkeit und Farbton anpassen. Das Hochladen dauert ca. 60 Sekunden, der Bildwechsel nochmal 30 Sekunden.
Die Bilder sind auf dem Art Frame alle etwas dunkler. Einige Farben knnen nicht so leicht dargestellt werden, mir ist aufgefallen, dass Magenta so eine Farbe ist. Geht man nah dran, dann wirkt das Bild arg pixelig. Mit dem empfohlenen Abstand von ca. 80 cm fllt das jedoch nicht mehr auf.
Anfangs habe ich Fotos der Familie hochgeladen, meist Schnappschsse. Schne Motive, aber Schnappschsse. Hufig waren sie recht dunkel und kamen auf den Art Frame nicht so recht zur Geltung. Die Familie habe ich so auch nicht berzeugt. Dann habe ich dem AI Art Frame die Chance gegeben, die er verdient und mir das 4,99/Monat teure KI Abo geholt. Switchbot scheint hier mehr als eine simple KI-Generierung zu machen, es mssen Anweisungen enthalten sein, die das Bild auf den Frame anpassen. Die Ergebnisse sind gut, die Fotos kommen so viel besser zur Geltung. Der Remix von bestehenden Fotos zu “Kunstwerken” kommt auch bei der Familie besser an. Dass ich neue Bilder mithilfe einer einfachen Texteingabe erstellen lassen kann und dabei scheinbar keine Grenzen habe (abgesehen vom 400 Bilder/Monat Limit) begeistert die Familie noch mehr. Ich htte nie gedacht, dass ich ernsthaft berlege, das Abo zu behalten….aber es macht Spa.
Die Kinder haben vorgeschlagen, dass am Sonntag jeder zwei Fotos fr den Art Frame erstellen darf und wir sie dann die ganze Woche lang durchlaufen lassen.
Es ist kein digitaler Bilderrahmen fr Schnappschsse, am Ende ist es ein sehr spannendes Produkt mit einem sehr passenden Namen – AI Art Frame.
Leider nicht gnstig, aber wesentlich gnstiger als stndig neue Bilder zu kaufen :).
