I’ve been using the Sol Brush SPF 50 mineral sunscreen powder as my goto touchup sunscreen, and it’s honestly made reapplying SPF so much easier. The brush dispenses the powder evenly without leaving a chalky cast, and the finish is soft and matte—perfect for taking down shine in the middle of the day. I love that it doesn’t feel heavy or clogging, especially on warm days when my skin tends to get oily. It layers well over makeup without disturbing anything, which is a huge win because most liquid SPFs ruin my foundation. The powder itself feels silky and blends in quickly, and I appreciate that it’s mineralbased since my skin can be sensitive. It’s become one of those products I keep in my bag at all times because it’s effortless, clean, and gives me peace of mind that I’m staying protected without the mess of traditional sunscreen.
My Favorite Way to Reapply Sunscreen Over Makeup
This has quickly become one of my favorite products for daytime touch-ups. If you wear makeup, you know how annoying it is to reapply sunscreen without messing everything up—and this completely solves that problem.
The brush design makes it super easy to apply, and once you get the powder flowing, it goes on evenly and feels lightweight on the skin. I love that it doesn’t leave any greasiness or disrupt my makeup—it actually helps take down shine a bit.
I’ve been keeping it in my bag and using it throughout the day, especially when I’m out and about. It’s just so much easier than traditional sunscreen for reapplication.

My wife was absolutely ecstatic when I got this mineral sunscreen powder for her. She hates greasy sunscreen on her face and was very happy to learn that they made a brush on powder.
She had no trouble at all figuring out how to use the included brush applicator and readily applied it in a few seconds. The powder itself went on easily and was a good match for her skin tone. She hasn’t had any adverse effects or skin reactions to the powder and says it’s no different than wearing a powder foundation or any other type makeup.
It appears to be effective and my wife really likes it. The price is in line with other products of this type and it appears to be an okay value for the price.
Difficult to dispense the powder because the brush is so big
I’m a fan of sunscreen powder and my go to is the Jane Iredale brand. I prefer powder sunscreen on my kids because it’s easy to apply and they like the feeling of the soft brush on their face so they don’t fuss as much. This powder is similar. The color is a match to my medium-light skintone and the brush is soft, fluffy and dense. The only con I have is the size of the brush (too big) and how hard it is to dispense the powder. I was tapping on the back for around 5 minutes straight and it didn’t even dispense it to 1/4th of the brush. I think with time it would saturate the entire brush, but I don’t have time or patience for that and I would have been really frustrated if I took this unopened on a trip and had to work this hard to get the product out. The brush would have to be half the height to properly function. That said, once this starts working it would be a breeze to apply on larger areas like the arms and legs. Maybe another 5-6 tapping sessions would do the trick. But I do hope they fix the brush.
