Works. Good from what I can see it turns on and charges. Haven’t seen it kill any bugs yet but sure it does. Like how it is easy to use and install. Can literally put it indoors or out. Doesn’t matter and seems to be qood quality..price is nice to.
Much needed for the spring/summer....
Bug zapper works well. We don’t have many bugs at the moment because it is still very cold here. When kept on all day, it keeps a charge because it is solar-powered. There are three settings which made me very happy….just a light, then a zapper that stays on continuously and then a motion-activated zapper. It is also very nice in appearance and doesn’t look like those ‘uglier’ ones out there. I love the fact that there is a ground bracket and it doesn’t have to hang from above.

This solar bug zapper has been amazing for our backyard. We spend a lot of time outside, especially in the evenings, and this has made such a noticeable difference with mosquitoes and other flying bugs. I love that it’s solar powered and cordless, because I can set it where I want it without dealing with extension cords or trying to keep it close to an outlet. The ground stake makes it easy to place near the patio, and once it’s out there, it just does its thing.
What really impressed me is that it actually works. I’ve tried outdoor bug gadgets before that looked promising and ended up doing next to nothing, but this one has been genuinely effective. You can tell it’s catching bugs, and it has made sitting outside so much more comfortable. The illuminated light is also a nice bonus because it gives off a useful glow without being harsh, and the waterproof design makes it feel well suited for outdoor use without constantly worrying about it.
Overall, I’m really happy with this one. It feels well designed, easy to use, and actually useful instead of gimmicky. Between the solar charging, rechargeable battery, cordless setup, and the fact that it has really helped with bugs around our yard, this has been one of those outdoor items I’m genuinely glad I got.
Solid bug zapper for the island, works great!

I decided on this solar bug zapper since it got four sides, and after waiting a while for it to arrive here on island—took almost a month, maybe ’cause of the shipping out here, but it’s worth the wait. I charged it up via USB, and it took less than 20 minutes to get fully powered. Then, I set it up outside, and that thing was zapping away non-stop. Gnats, kobai flies, moths, and bugs galore! The noise is loud at times, it depends on the size of the bug and how juicy it is. haha!
I did notice the battery started to die after about 4-5 hours, but it was working hard, zapping all the buggies.
So, I figure it’s doing its job overtime. Easy to install, and the mount is solid too. Even though it was windy and rainy at night, this bug zapper didn’t fall over, so that’s a plus.
It also comes with a cleaning brush, which is ok, but since it’s waterproof (IPX5 rated), I’m thinking I can just use a water hose to clean it off when needed. I’ll probably do that after a few uses to keep it running smoothly.
I’m using the Auto Mode for now, and the light works well. Plus, it’s solar-powered, so I don’t have to worry about charging it all the time. All in all, no complaints so far—works great, does the job, and hoping it will keep my yard bug-free.

We have an outdoor gazebo where we host evening parties in the summer. In the past few years, the mosquitoes have gotten really bad – and this winter was not a cold winter for us so they are likely to be more frequent. We’ve used citronella with hit or miss reliability, so I was excited to try this solar bug zapper. I was delighted to realize you can charge it by plugging it in OR use the solar function. It’s not always on; you can choose to manually turn it on (or off), or set it to “auto” where it turns on at dusk and off when it’s light. I love having both options because “auto” mode doesn’t work when light is shining on it. But this way it can run at night when you’re not outside, and it can be set to “on” so it’s works when people/lights are out. Since it can be gray here a lot, having the option to plug it in if solar charge wasn’t enough is a nice option. It also has a brush so you can sweep the bugs off the bulb. It’s lightweight but has enough of a base that it sits securely in the ground.
It also comes with an optional stand so you can place it in the ground, which is a nice feature. We’re not using the stand and instead have it sitting flat on a surface, which works perfectly for us. Another plus is the bottom compartment door, which makes it easy to open up and clean out the inside when needed.
The light does a good job attracting bugs and works just like other zappers I’ve used. I also appreciate the size—it provides a larger surface area, which means more bugs taken care of. Overall, a reliable and versatile option!
