Works well
This is a pretty good mouse. Setting it up was extremely easy. I went to add a new, bluetooth device, detected the mouse, and I was good to go. It couldn’t be easier. It contours to your grip very nicely, so it’s comfortable. The way my hand rests on it makes my palm a bit sweaty after a while, though. I’m not used to that from other mice. Setting up the various buttons is extremely easy, so it’s good for any type of game that you might want to have it specifically set up for. As large as the mouse is, it’s also very light. I almost wish it had a bit more heft to it. The price is a bit high, but most MMO mice are expensive, so it seems to be on par with that. The battery life is good, too, so I don’t have to charge it very often, which I appreciate. Overall, I’m pleased with the mouse for now. If there’s any change in the battery life shortening over time, I’ll be sure to update this review.

Current best vertical mouse in the market right now
I dont write reviews too often but this is legit. Been looking for a LONG time for a vertical mouse that is relatively affordable and has the same internals as current competitive gaming mice (things like logitech, razer, mchose and such) that have good sensors and allow for high polling rate. For it’s size, it feels really light weight even though it is almost 100 grams (feels light due to vertical design. Buttons feel nice to click and the default skates feel fine, but def need to replace them after some use later on. The only thing that needs work is the web driver/software. I would really like to be able to bind the side buttons to ANY button and the actions they have listed. So far it is I think the best vertical gaming mouse with the keychron M5 being a close second if you’re not a big fan of extra buttons. Another thing to combo with the mouse is a solid glass mousepad too.
A Game Changer in Computer Mice
I am a casual gamer. After long, grueling hours at work, it is not unusual for me to spend a few hours playing any number of games. Although I have a Lenovo Thinkpad laptop, my preferred medium for playing games is my iPad. I associate my iPad with both business and leisure. But my Thinkpad is strictly for business.
I have generally used ordinary mice in playing games, if I used a mouse at all. I have seen friends using gaming mice, but I had never really gone that route, because the regular mice I used seemed equal to the task. Nonetheless, when i saw this “Vertical Gaming Mouse” by Solakaka, I was intrigued.
In the box, there is a USBB-A to USB-C cable and then the mouse itself. The mouse is quite robust , being about three times taller than a regular mouse. Immediately conspicuous are the 10 programmable buttons (on the right of the mouse) etched in grey on the black background of the variant that I acquired. These glow different colors, from blue to green, to yellow, to red. There is also an arrow within a lattice-type screen that glows as well.
On the left of the mouse, there is a roller button, two more programmable buttons, and a large square button which functions as the mouse right click to select button. Delightfully, this mouse comes with quite a few different ways to connect. The included USB-A to USB-C cable can be plugged into a computer to make this mouse a wired one. It can connect to two different devices via Bluetooth protocol. It can also connect via the included dongle which is hidden in a trapdoor underneath the mouse (see picture) for a 2.4G connection. These buttons, including the selector button are underneath the mouse.
Unfortunately, I did not read the fine print. I attempted to use the company website to download an app which would allow me to program the programmable buttons on my iPad. But it clearly says under the product details on Amazon that the “Configuration tool is Windows only.” Apparently, I need to program the mouse on Windows, before then using it for my iPad. Apparently the programming would carry over from my Windows laptop to my iPad. Consequently, despite trying, I could not download anything that could help me program the mouse on my iPad. I will likely attempt it on my Thinkpad in the near future.
But I was able to connect the E9 Pro Mouse by Solakaka to my iPad via Bluetooth. I am able to use the regular functions of a mouse right out of the box without having to program any buttons. At first I had the mouse turned the wrong way, but once I understood that it needed to turned around, and held like a handshake, everything fell into place. It is a far more comfortable mouse to use than conventional ones. My thumb rests naturally in a precut groove featured exactly for that purpose whereas my index finger rests naturally on the other side of the mouse for using the scroll wheel and the right click button.
Also worth mentioning is that even though this mouse is quite large, I was very surprised at how light it is. By my estimation, it is lighter than some conventional mice I have used. In short, this mouse is the alpha and omega of mice. It has feature I could ever want in a mouse, including a rechargeable battery. Although this a gaming mouse, it can certainly be used as an ordinary one, with souped up features. The fact that I cannot program it natively on my Apple iPad is only a minor shortcoming.
