A very nice Memory Foam seat and seat back cushion!
The BANKQF L-Shaped Ergonomic Seat Cushion is a very nice addition to the driver’s seat of my car. The cushion is designed with just the right amount of lumbar support for me, which is where I have the biggest issue with when driving for an extended amount of time, so this is quite a plus for me. It also has what the product listing describes as a “coccyx hollow” which I would say is a hole in the middle of the pad where the seat meets the back, which prevents pressure on the tailbone, by having the cutout located in just the right spot, which is great, because there is No Pressure on my tailbone. This makes a significant difference for me, in allowing me to drive with greater comfort. The memory foam is perfect because it is soft but also very supportive in all the right places.

The bottom side of the cushion has a nonslip textured covering which helps to keep it in place. It works fairly well, but every couple of days I will need to reposition the cushion as it works toward the front of the seat. This has more to do with me getting in and out of the car than it has to do with it sliding down as I’m driving and moving in the seat. I had been using just a seat cushion for a while, and it did help to keep my butt and upper legs from getting uncomfortable, my low back still was quite painful, so I decided it was worth trying a combination seat and backrest cushion and it has been very helpful. It did take a little getting used to as it not only had me sitting a few inches higher but also sitting a couple inches further forward. But once my body got used to the different position, it was not an issue. So, even though I think this is a nice product, there is one thing I would change, if I could. That would be they length of the seat cushion. It is several inches shorter than the cars seat, and it took som getting used to the loss of support for my lower thighs as the cushion just ends. It isn’t a deal breaker for me, as it is more comfortable than sitting on the seat without this cushion. There is one other issue, and it has nothing to do with any issues in design or manufacturing, but it has to do with the physical properties of memory foam. The memory foam normally compresses and conforms to my body, offering both support and comfort. However, when the outside temperatures get down into the upper 20’s or colder, the soft cushy foam becomes as hard and stiff as a loaf of stale crusty bread. As I mentioned this is not just this product, all memory foam cushions are likely to behave the same. The one I used before this one did the exact same. If it is in the upper 20s or warmer, the heat from my body and the car’s heater will eventually warm the material up enough that it goes right back to being soft and comfy. I could always bring it inside with me, when the temperatures are going to go below freezing, and that would solve my issue. As I mentioned there is a thing or two, I would change but that doesn’t stop me from using it and it won’t stop me from recommending it to anyone who needs some extra softness and support in the low back and behind.

This seat cushion has firm foam padding. It doesn’t squish flat completely or stay flat. I tested it in one of the most uncomfortable chairs in the house, the dining room chairs. These chairs seem like they have adequate padding at first, but they don’t, and the seat is too deep, and the hard backs tilt back at just the wrong angle. I believe they were designed to discourage dinner guests from lingering. The cushion not only made a chair bearable, but comfortable. I’m currently using it in my office chair and find it gives very good support for my lower back.

It provides firm support. The seat portion isn’t as thick as some other cushions I have used, but it is firmer and the design can help keep your body aligned and more comfortable with the coccyx cutout taking pressure off certain points.

The cover can easily be removed because the zipper goes all the way around. It is not waterproof. If you spill your iced coffee in your lap, the liquid is going to go straight through and be soaked up by the foam inside. It didn’t come with a weird smell.
