Small Bathroom Upgrade That Feels Surprisingly Luxurious
Sometimes the simplest swap can make a bathroom feel more put together. Replacing our basic toilet paper holder with this marble and stainless steel version instantly elevated the space.
It was installed during a weekend refresh of the guest bathroom. The double roll design is practical on its own, but the real game changer is the top shelf. Being able to place wipes and a small air freshener neatly on top keeps everything within reach without cluttering the counter. It feels intentional rather than improvised.
What stood out most was the balance between style and function. The marble shelf gives it an elegant touch that looks far more upscale than a standard holder. Sturdy, well constructed
What a great idea! My husband has complained about the lack of shelving in our small bathroom for years. (There was nowhere to place his reading material).
And now theirs a place!
I ordered this toilet holder, with a built in shelf because it seemed to me that this was a marvelous idea—especially when you have a bathroom reader in the family (and I do).
And I wasn’t wrong. My husband loved the idea, and quickly installed it. It works well—although we should have placed it forward. We didn’t do that because we wanted to cover the place where the old toilet paper holder had been—and this was a mistake. My husband has to reach back a little, to put his book down on the shelf. It still works—but if I get another one, I’ll keep that in mind.
Pros:

Cons:
*You need to carefully measure proximity to your own needs, as opposed to just covering the space where the old toilet paper holder resided. Otherwise, it makes positioning doable—but somewhat awkward (which is the only reason I gave the product four stars).
I would recommend this product. I think it’s a really great idea.
Looks expensive and actually useful
I got this mostly for the aesthetic, and it really upgraded the whole bathroom instantly. The marble shelf looks very clean and minimal, not cheap at all.
What I didn’t expect is how practical it is — the little top shelf is perfect for your phone, diffuser, or small decor. It keeps everything within reach and looks organized.
Installation was pretty straightforward, and it feels sturdy once mounted. Overall, it’s one of those small details that makes the space feel more put togethe
A little tricky but nice!!
I have very few handy-girl skills and I have even less patience but our rarely used guest bath has NEVER had paper mounted anywhere. After 25 years I was tired of waiting for the DH to make time, so I mounted this thing myself, despite their horrible directions. I’ll see if I can explain
First you mark the wall. Then you drill. I went into wood so didn’t need anchors.
I was trying to line the screws up with the holes on the unit and one screw kept falling through the hole. Frustrating, to say the least. The other did not fall through. What I figured out eventually is this- the position of the hole that is DIRECTLY behind the posts (see sellers first picture)! makes it impossible to screw in. Or at least almost impossible. There is no straight shot to that hole unless you have a 2 inch screwdriver. (Do they make those?) So I took a shot- used a screwdriver to screw that screw ALMOST all the way in without going the plate. I just screwed it into my drilled hole and THENN hung the dispenser on that screw. That hole was big enough to fit over the screw. That gave me enough leverage to then hold the dispenser and screw in the OTHER screw (going thru the unit)- the one that did NOT fall/fit thru the hole. I got that one tight enough that nothing is moving. I still need to put the decorate screw covers on but I want the in-house handy man to check out my work and see if my “big hole/tight hole” or “bigger screw/smaller screw theory is correct. I like how it also adds a shelf to this fairly rustic guests space in my home. More colors would have been a nice option but this works in my soace, just needs better directions for klutzes like me!!
Very nice stone
Very nice stone. The metal piece that attaches to the wall is screwed into the stone with two steel screw underneath. It’s not just a loose stone slapped onto a bent piece of metal.
Mine arrived with one of the roll holders detached and it was fairly annoying to get it to screw back together. I didn’t dock any stars since thankfully this is not something you have to do every time you change the rolls.
What you should do if you find yourself like this is to loosen the rod that has threads on both sides to give yourself room to work. Then put the hollow tube, black rubber side towards the center of the holder, and the try to screw on the end cap. When you have the end cap attached well, you can align the hollow tube with the divot in the end cap, then holding both, screw in the double threaded rod. Somewhat annoying but double, and thankfully a once and done thing.
Aside from that, mount it to the wall and just place the rolls. Doesn’t take any work after that.
The is indeed real stone, it is HEAVY! I would recommend installing this into at least 1 stud, it must weigh 5lbs at least! feels and looks really premium. the chrome has no scratches or burrs. The screws have cap covers and the metal spool holder looks really premium as well!
I really love the color of the stone, it’s like a white/grey in dim light, but when some brighter light hits it, it sparkles and the grey lights up as more of a purple/burgundy stripe. The bezel on the stone edge is also a nice way to take off the sharpness.
Would give it 5 stars but there is a finish issue on the granite. looks like the flattening process left a harsh edge of the top surface that was not removed in polishing. it’s not that noticeable but something that I may return this one for a replacement. this is pictured in my last picture you can see the reflection changes as it’s hard to capture in pictures.
