Good quality and durability lawn leveling rake.
It is lightweight yet functions as it is meant to. The design is nice and is 30″ in length.

Handle length is 73″ long and easy to assemble and easy to use.

    Made of stainless steel. Recommended

    Makes a massive difference
I liked it so much I bought a second one. Trying to get the lawn into pristine shape is a point of pride and I wanted golf course quality, so having two of these made the work go faster. My wife jumped in to help with the heavy lifting since the yard was rough when we moved in, and now it’s nearly leveled and looking freaky good.

The rake works great for spreading soil and knocking down high spots, and the long handle is comfortable for longer sessions. It’s heavy duty enough that I’m not babying it and it feels like a tool that will last.

Neighbors who pay for pros, watch out. This thing made a real difference and I’d buy it again.

Works, but I didn't find it a ton better than kicking the dirt with the side of my shoe
I’ve been doing a major project in my backyard – replacing bad soil, renewing a good portion of the sprinkler system, and establishing new flower beds. I thought this would be perfect for leveling out the dirt, i.e. fine grading.

I’ve gotten pretty good at moving and leveling dirt with the side of my shoe. I figured with this thing being three times as wide that it would do an even better job, plus I wouldn’t have to shake out my shoe once an hour.

This leveling rake worked, but it was only marginally better than my shoe. The rake can level well but it picks up dirt while doing it. That dirt has to be distributed somewhere. I tried both pulling and pushing, and neither was perfect. In the end I found a combination of my shoe and the rake worked best. So I think I got a more level dirt mound using the rake but it didn’t save any effort.

I wish the handle allowed you to control tilt on the head. The biggest problem I experienced was it would tend to dig in on one side, and I wanted to glide it while lifting the side it otherwise would dig into. Because the handle screws in you can rotate to the right but not the left.

The overall tool is sturdy and seems like it would last for many years. I didn’t weight it, but it felt more or less perfect – heavy enough to dig into the soil, light enough that it wasn’t burdensome to move around. The handle is absurdly long (taller than me), I’m not sure what the reasoning is for that. I saw that one review said that it is a bare pipe – mine wasn’t, it had a nice rubber grip on the end.

This does work, and I did get good results with it. But I’m not sure it really earned its place in my shed.

My rating: 4 stars. It works, and I might have loved it if I wasn’t such an expert with the side of my shoe. But I have to take a star off because at least for me it only helped a little.

Sturdy, effective, and built to last!
This Saker lawn leveler is a very solid, high-quality tool. It has the weight and stability needed to move soil and sand efficiently without wobbling. The 73-inch handle is great for posture and makes covering large areas much easier on the back.

    Pros:

Heavy-Duty: Very sturdy construction and feels like a professional tool.

Effective: Does exactly what it’s supposed to do for smoothing out uneven ground.

Stable: Once assembled, the joints are reinforced and secure.

    Cons:

Assembly: The nuts required quite a bit of extra strength to screw on tightly, so be prepared for a little effort during setup.

Finish: My only minor concern is that the black paint on the bottom might rub off over time with heavy use, but it doesn’t impact the performance.

Overall: A reliable, simple, and effective gardening tool. Much better than using a standard rake for leveling!

much better then trying to use an ordinary steel rake.
    leveling rake.

My review did not go as planned because I could not figure out how to assemble this. The instructions were bad. Attach the little screws to the big metal pieces. Okay but where? How? I took a guess and layed them both horizontal with the hinges facing/touchihng eachother . I took it that this is where I place two of the bolts and nuts. I was foolishly thinking they somehow folded together. They don’t! One smart look at the fully assembled product image explained everything! I hope I did it right. Are there supossed to be a few bolts left over? Are these spares?

The bolts don’t want to spin freely with my hand. The included tools (or your own) are needed to make the bolt turn at all.

The pole is made from six pieces that need to be sccrewed together. When assembly was completed I briefly tested it out. I was not happy with the pole. It wobbled as six pieces screwed together might. Call me old fashioned but I think poles on garden tools should be one piece.
The pole is really long but the extra length helps with the leverage even for a shorter person such as myself.

So putting those issues aside, the leveller did work. It doesn’t work over clumps of weeds or anything like that, it just smooths out regular old dirt that does not have a lot of debris. It didn’t work well over mulched areas. I was thinking I could smooth out golpher mounds but no. Not if there is grass around it.

This 12.5 pound tool is perfect though for my main intention. I’m laying down pavers to make a courtyard and even though they may look even, you can always tell there is a problem when the table you later place wobbles. And I hate that. For this project the leveler works great and it does not take a lot of physical strength to push the dirt.

Before I had this I only had a steel rake which I turned upside down. This is faster and more effective because it’s bigger and heavier.
