Best option out there in its price range. Main reason to choose this one is that it’s less than 2 pounds. Bright colors. It does not include a cover. Has a retractable stand. Easy to connect. Great for working away from home and traveling.

Excellent Lightweight Portable Monitor for Busy Professionals on the Go! As a full-time office worker who travels a few times a month for meetings and often works remotely, I was looking for an affordable second screen to boost my productivity without adding bulk to my laptop bag. The MSCMPOVA 15.6-inch portable monitor checked all the boxes—it’s ultra-slim, weighs just 1.5 lbs (lighter than my phone!), and delivers solid 1080P FHD quality with vibrant colors and good brightness for its price.Setup was a breeze. It comes with a USB-C cable and mini-HDMI to HDMI cable, and with my MacBook Pro, I just plugged in one USB-C for both power and display—no extra cords or adapters needed. It worked instantly, extending my screen perfectly for multitasking: spreadsheets on one side, emails and video calls on the other. The IPS panel is sharp and clear, with wide viewing angles that make it easy to read documents or watch training videos without eye strain. I also tested it with my work phone (Samsung) in DeX mode, and it turned my setup into a mini desktop—super handy for quick edits on the road.For downtime, I’ve used it to stream Netflix or play light games on my Nintendo Switch during flights, and the picture looks crisp and bright. The built-in kickstand is sturdy and adjustable, way better than flimsy covers on other monitors I’ve tried, and it holds up well on hotel desks or airplane trays.A couple minor downsides: the speakers are pretty basic and tinny, so I use headphones for anything audio-heavy. Also, it’s so thin that I’d recommend grabbing a protective case separately—Amazon’s packaging was minimal, and I’ve heard of rare shipping damage (thankfully mine arrived perfect).Overall, for the price, this is a fantastic value. TLDR; Buy this.
This monitor is lightweight, bright, great quality. When I removed the monitor from the box I was a little concerned that I got something that was not a monitor, like a screen protector or something like that because it was so light. I thought there was no way this thing was going to work. I quickly removed it from the packaging and found an HDMI cable (mini-HDMI that plugs into the monitor and full size HDMI to plug in to your device), and a USB-C cable. Here is where this gets cool… If you use USB-C you can power the monitor from your usb-c port and the display signal also uses that usb-c cable. So there is only a need for the one cable. So you have an incredibly lightweight (my iPhone 17 weighs MORE) monitor that only needs one cable to run. Now if you are using this via HDMI you will need to power the monitor with a USB-C power source as well.

It comes with 1 mini-HDMI to standard HDMI cable, and 1 USB-C cable.

I just plugged this into my Macbook Air and it immediately started working. The monitor picture quality was far better than I expected and looks really good.
Handling of the monitor from Amazon was not that great however. They packed it in a non-padded simple plastic bag. There is no padding or protection on the device’s box either. So this package was likely thrown around quite a bit. When I plugged it in I had an entire column of dead pixels. I requested a replacement and will update this review to let you know if the new unit is 100%. I still gave this product 5 stars because I strongly believe the damage was due to handling. If I get another one with damage I will drop the score for quality. I took a picture of the dead pixel column.
**UPDATE** I did get the replacement monitor today and I am pleased to note the screen is perfect. So the 5 stars stand.
This monitor has so many uses beyond just extending your screen. If you are a tinkerer and use a Raspberry Pi you will love this. It is perfect as a monitor for a pi or as a roaming workbench monitor where you can jack in to a server in a datacenter.
I own a well known name brand monitor that is the same size and spec and this one was 1/6th the price of that unit and ways 75% less. The name brand one didn’t even come with a kickstand like this one has.
