Almost returned
I was like other purchasers. I was about to return it because I thought it didn’t work. But when I read other’s experiences with this I finally figured it out. It’s great. It sits in my truck at an angle and it doesn’t bother it a bit. It’s perfect for my needs.
Great universal cd playe
Most of my cars are old enough that the cd player is built in. But for the fancy new cars that don have that option and you still wanted cd’s this is the perfect answer .
I know people are wondering who the heck still uses CDs. But there are a few people that refuse to give them up. I upgraded my neighbors pickup truck to a wireless carplay touchscreen with all of the works. He loved it up until the point where he asked where do he put his CDs in at. When I told him there is no CD player, he pulled out his old zipper case of CDs and asked how he was supposed to listen to those then. He almost had me remove the stereo because of that.
This is the solution for those type of people. You get to have your modern devices, and keep a CD player around just in case. Now connecting it is tricky, because on the Android head units, it won’t show up as a device until after it successfully reads a disc. I tested another one of these and didn’t know that and thought the device was faulty, when it was just a bad disc.
What’s nice about these is that it sends the data to the android head unit and saves it. so if you disconnect the player or remove the disc, it will remember where you left off once you connect it again. I even connected a completely different player to the head unit, and when I inserted the same disc, it took me right back to where I left off.
The only issue is it’s size. It does come with some sticky velcro to mount it, but it’s still big and bulky.

Works Great and Easy to Plug-n-Play in 2022 Audi
I am super impressed with this CD player!
It was so simple to make work (at least with 2022 Audi).
I was worried because the directions looked confusing to my technical-illiterate brain and although the easiest method just involved “plug and play” the picture in the directions had me worried that I did not have the correct “plug” to play. It said ONLY use it in a USB labeled plug in, not a USB charging plug in. My USB did not have the correct label as the directions displayed, it had a ‘3 lines symbol’, but I tried it anyway. And then found the “audio” button (called music in the directions). But it said nothing was found, so I thought it wasn’t working. Yet then after I inserted a CD it was “found” and started playing with all the CD player functions displayed on my screen. SO easy!
the music played just as good as ever and even was fine on the slanted passenger seat., not needing to lie flat.
For this, I’d give the product 5-stars!
I had to reduce a star for mostly one reason but I’ll add on 2 extra mini-gripes:
1.Most importantly, the product is advertised as working with several other devices. I was excited to try this in hopes of getting rid of my “boombox” that I keep for the times I want to listen to my old CD’s.
But I was unable to get it to work on my bluetooth speaker (the plug did not make it play)
nor on my MacPro laptop (plugging it in, I found the CD it in my ‘finder’, clicking on the songs pulled up Apple Music but then just an endless spinning wheel that had to be forced closed)
Granted, I don’t think these did not work due to my low understanding of how things work….but maybe it was.
2. The finish of the product shows fingerprints Super easily. Hard to keep nice looking.
3. I personally had a hard time reading the instructions and was thankful that I didn’t have to connect the other way. the directions are pretty descriptive but some of the wording makes it hard for me to grasp….but again, I’m super behind on technology, so it’s likely a me-problem. And the directions were only for the car, not screenless devices like speakers or laptops.
That said, I absolutely love this as a car CD player in my 2022 Audi!
awesome solution for newer cars
It’s kind of ironic that NEW cars now need external solutions for things like CDs…hah! Remember when we had to adapt our OLD cars to be able to use Bluetooth / digital streaming? Are we going backwards or what?
Anyway, I picked this up for when I use rental cars since newer models don’t come with built-in CD players anymore, and I still have a solid collection of CDs I’m not ready to part with. I also got it for pairing with my laptop for music transfers.
Setup was surprisingly easy. It truly is plug and play if your vehicle supports USB audio, and I like that it also includes a Bluetooth decoder option for broader compatibility.
The unit itself feels sleek and compact, and it doesn’t take up much space. Playback has been smooth with no skipping during normal driving, and the sound quality is clear and balanced.
I also appreciate that it works beyond just the car like being able to connect it to a laptop or other devices makes it more versatile.
At around the $100 price point (often less with coupons), it’s not cheap, but for anyone who still loves physical media and wants that flexibility in a modern vehicle, it’s a solid solution.
