Perfect Newborn Nightstand Setup
My husband put this together for me to use as a nightstand on my side of the bed during the newborn stage, and it was honestly perfect. I exclusively breastfed, so having everything within arm’s reach at night made a huge difference. I was able to store diapering supplies, burp cloths, extra baby clothes, my pump and parts, and even snacks for myself — and still had room to spare.
The wood top works great as a nightstand surface for quick-grab items. The fabric drawers slide smoothly, and I love that the left-side compartments are adjustable. Having the top tiers different sizes makes it easy to organize things you need quickly in the middle of the night.
The wheels are a big plus, especially with wood flooring. It’s easy to roll to another room or move it to restock. Assembly took about 20 minutes with no real frustration — all parts were included and the instructions were clear.
It’s standard Amazon-style furniture quality: lightweight but not flimsy. It feels stable, though I’d be cautious once you have a very mobile child who might try to pull on it. Overall, such a practical piece for the newborn stage and I can see us evolving this over time into a craft cart because of all the space and compartments.
Looks classy, lots of room for organization, sharp corners
This is a nice little caddy. I am using it as a bedside stand and organizer, however, because the corners are far too sharp to have in my toddler’s room. My husband assembled it for me and he said the instructions were easy to follow, it took him about 30 minutes to fully assemble. He mentioned that some of the welds are not perfect and took some wiggling and force to get the pieces to fit together as they should, but it wasn’t impossible. The metal is very sturdy and the wood part is thick. It looks really nice and classy in my room! The fabric bins pull out like drawers and they are very spacious. I think this would be useful as a diaper caddy if your child is not old enough to move around on their own, but like I mentioned, the corners are sharp, and I don’t feel comfortable letting my 18 month old go near it. It would be difficult to baby proof this in any way. So overall, I really like it! It’s functional, assembly was mostly easy, and it’s spacious (and has wheels to roll it around – super convenient!) I just don’t think it would be safe to leave in a kid’s room. Considering the durability of the materials, I do think it is worth the price.
