Seventh Heaven Sleep! Lightweight Fluff Filling that's to.die.for!!!!!
I cannot sleep without my PACIFIC COAST Goose Down comforters!!!! I have this one, which has a POLYESTER (stronger) shell and another exactly like this one, but with a 100% Tencel shell (a little higher in price, but worth it).
I ordered both types of PC comforters in king size–right now this soft and stronger poly fabric shell one is in a king size THX SILK mulberry silk duvet cover that’s divine. It is a strong polyester (not as delicate as Tencel), and ideal for kids or someone like my football player nephew who is rough with everything and breaks stuff accidentally LOL.
My other PacCoast king white down fiber comforter that’s exactly like this one, but is a cotton shell, is inside my 100% linen queen size duvet cover. It thickens/fluffs it up when a king size comforter is placed inside a queen size duvet.
This one is designed to be a lightweight down fill for summer season. This PACIFIC COAST comforter is pure down fiber that is so insanely light and fluffy, cozy even with a polyester shell. Perfect for Mediterranean weather here in SoCal! No sweating!
They do have a denser one…I have it and am obsessed with it. The denser one with a higher fill power is not even too hot for spring nor summer, unless it is placed in a polyester non breathable duvet cover. This PACIFIC COAST comforter is pure down fiber that is so insanely light and fluffy, cozy and breathable because it has a pure cotton shell.
We didn’t get to select a color, just white…I wish we could have since I do love that peaceful beige color…but it’s ok, I am grateful we were offered this to review as PACIFIC COAST is superior quality bedding! Iplaced it inside a THXSILK mulberry silk duvet cover anyways.
PACIFIC COAST is my jelly and jam, my ecstasy, my true love, my seventh heaven…LOL.
I am not kidding when I say that. I have been buying their superior quality bedding since I was in my 20s! I still have my PC feather and down pillows from like mid or late 1990s!!!!! Best quality pillows ever! And comforters! I have a newer Pac Coast pillow now, a king size (firm) that I love. This company is my FAVORITE home bedding, its a bedding staple, durability over 20 years! Unless you thrash it in the wash improperly or let a pet get ahold of it, obvio.
I highly recommend pac coast !!!! Just get it , its the best thing i did for my sleep sanity LOL.
I absolutely love everything I’ve purchased form Pacific Coast, this duvet insert is no different. Immediately upon opening the package and feeling the insert I knew I was going to love it. It’s soft, no odor, and already fluffing up nicely. It’s thinner, just like I wanted, but fluffy. I love it. The weight is just right, you feel covered but not hot. Perfect for me! I trust Pacific Coast products, I have pillows from them and now the duvet insert. I don’t need to shop around anymore, Pacific Coast is my brand. And by the way, the air freshener they give with every purchase, smells divine. I love it. I wish they sold them too!
This not my first Pacific Coast Comforter. I’ve had a pure down comforter for years that was a wedding gift decades ago from my wife’s parents. It’s a queen sized comforter, and in the winter, that’s something that you can easily hog in your sleep.
For that reason, this winter, I picked up the “Pacific Coast Goose Feather Down Fiber Comforters King Size, Extra Fluffy White Duvet Insert, Ultra-Soft, Breathable, All Season Hotel Luxury Bedding Comforters, 8 Corner & Center Loops (106″x90″)” (That product name is a mouthful) I picked it up because I was looking for something warm and fluffy, and it definitely fit the bill. I’ve been very, very happy with it, and in addition to that comforter, I now also have a lightweight summer comforter as well.
I picked up this lightweight comforter as an upgrade for my daughter’s bed. And I like it very much so far.
The one thing I will say is that this is much pricier than my other Pacific Coast king size summer comforter. My daughter does say she likes it more (I asked her which she preferred without telling her which was which, and she did choose this more expensive option. Personally, inside of a duvet cover, I’m not sure I’d be able to tell the difference, but there is a less expensive lightweight goose feather down fiber comforter Pacific Coast makes that very similar in my opinion.
As you can see from the photos, even the packaging shows the above average quality of the product you’re going to get. Bang for your buck wise, I think these are fantastic comforters, and while it arrives vacuum sealed, a low temp tumble in the dryer is all that’s needed for the blanket to be completely fluffed and ready to use.
I draped the blanket over the balcony handrail after its dryer tumble. Not that it is much whiter than that photo shows, the lighting in that photo is a bit deceptive. The squares are fairly small, as that’s only a portion of the blanket that’s shown.
We put this in a microfiber duvet cover with eight ties, and the ties in the duvet cover and the eight loops on the blanket aligned perfectly and keep the blanket in place. I recommend using this with a duvet cover so you can wash the duvet cover as needed and get whatever material you like most for sleeping for the duvet cover.
I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with Pacific Coast comforters. No, it’s not pure down, but the down and goose feather fill combination they use feels very soft and luxurious, so I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything moving away from my pure down comforter for this.
If you’re in the Pacific Coast price range, I’m not aware of a better comforter option out there, and I highly recommend it.
