A Brute of a TV Wall Mou
The first thing you’ll notice about this mount is how heavy it is. If you have a large TV, you won’t go wrong with this mount. The quality is clear just by the weight, appearance, and motion of it. The installation is just as easy as any mount of this type and easier than some due to the included template. There are numerous connection points which makes it versatile enough to fit just about any TV. The range of motion is terrific for a mount of this weight and size. The price is a bit high, but this mount is a serious piece of equipment.
This Thing Is Not Playing Around
I’ve purchased so many different styles of wall mounts and monitor mounts over the years that I’ve lost count. I recognized the brand monTEK from a mount that I bought before. Back then I remember they were budget-oriented but made solid mounts for the price, kind of a mid-tier option in the budget mount market.
I’ll say this right away, this comes across as a heavy-duty TV mount. It’s heavy and bulky, with solid metal construction that looks and feels like it’s built for larger TVs. It has a wide mounting plate and supports the VESA patterns it claims, up to 800×400 based on my measurements. After measuring, I got the extension arm at about 27 inches, and I like that the dual-arm design adds stability compared to single-arm mounts, which can help with larger TVs. A good portion also comes pre-assembled, which helps with setup.
That said, it’s bulkier and heavier than most mounts I’ve used. It’s not very beginner-friendly and really benefits from proper stud placement and the right tools for installation. I mounted it over the weekend and found myself taking extra time to plan out bolt and stud placement carefully. I needed another person to help me get into position, and after mounting it, it felt like more mount than needed for smaller TVs and takes up more wall depth even when pushed in.
This REALLY feels suited for a large 75 to 90 inch TV. The arms, joints, and mounting plates are thick and solid, which is good for weight support. It doesn’t feel like lighter mounts that may sag over time. I mounted a 75-inch TV, and the mount still felt a bit oversized for it.
If you’re using something around 50 inches or smaller, this may be more than necessary in both size and cost. It definitely feels like its meant for larger setups where you need the extra reach and support. It’s more situational and best suited if your TV actually needs this level of support.
As for the price, it feels reasonable for this category. Maybe a bit on the higher side, but still within range for what you get. It’s not subtle and takes more effort to install, but it really works for bigger TVs.

I am very impressed with this heavy duty TV wall mount. I’ve used a similar amount from the same brand for the last three years now and it’s held up very well. The functionality is great and I like how you can easily swivel the TV in and out from the wall and fine-tune the exact position, depending on the specifics of your room. This particular amount is extremely heavy duty, I would not get it unless you have a TV that’s on the larger size of the recommended type for this specific amount, as there are much cheaper options available if you have a smaller to normal sized TV that isn’t extremely heavy. This one is best for the largest of TVs that weigh the most. It comes with all of the hardware you need to install it aside from a drill and a drill bit. Overall, definitely recommend if you specifically need this extremely heavy duty mount for your large TV.

This heavy duty full motion TV wall mount from monTEK is very well made. It can mount a TV measuring between 43″ and 98″ and can hold 265 pounds which is much much greater than needed. The TV mount is preassembled and fit studs between 12″ and 24″. The mount has a reinforced dual arm structure so there is no sagging or shaking when fully extended. The steel used to make the mount is industry graded steel so it is built to last. When retracted, the TV sits just 3″ from the wall so you have a sleek look which is especially important in smaller rooms. The TV mount arm extends almost 28″ and swivels 60 degrees in each direction for side to side viewing. It also tilts 5″ to -15″ to reduce glare. This TV mount has full motion so it lets you adjust your TV for the perfect view. The mechanism is very smooth so it takes virtually no effort to adjust it. After mounting the mount to the wall, the TV snaps on in a few seconds so it is easy to change out TVs in the future if needed.
