I tested the pair of nine inch arms with dual light clamps attached to an underwater tray. They connected cleanly and were easy to adjust. The butterfly clips turned smoothly but tightened firmly, holding strobes and action lights exactly where I needed them. The full reach created wider lighting coverage which helped reduce backscatter during shooting.
Underwater handling was excellent. The aluminum remained corrosion free after multiple saltwater dives, and even with gloves on, the clamps were simple to loosen and reposition. The hardware kept its tension and showed no flex or play, even under moderate load with mounted lights and focus torches.
After rinsing and drying post dive, the anodized coating stayed flawless with no rust or residue. The arms also work well in a studio setup when paired with a ball head or light mount. Build quality and precision threading are on par with much more expensive brands.
