I gave the product a five because I do have this oven and know it is one of my favorite.
Wanted to caution if you do buy this oven for a gift, and they say it can be there by a certain date, I would add two days to be safe.
I bought this for a family member and it was shipped right away. The problem was with the carrier. They lost it and when I called them they had no idea where it was.
Le Creuset is worth the cost, definitely built to last. I gave away my seasoned stockpots and gave my kitchen a pantry an immediate update when I bought several different pieces in this line. The weight, the color saturation, the cooking capabilities has been worth the investment.
Love this Dutch oven, heavy but not too heavy, distributes heat evenly and is easy to clean. I use it for everything! Stews, soups, sauces and pot roasts. Wished I had it 20 years ago, it’s made to last!
Very nice quality shipping was prompt. I will follow up later after I have used this Dutch oven for some time to report it’s durability. I have been disappointed by similar products that appear to be the same, they are not. The difference is in the workmanship and materials. Competitors offer a lower priced item that only lasts for a year at best before they chip and stain. I will check back and let you know how well this product endures its first year of use.
