Solid and functional lawn level
Overall this product feels like it’s great quality and sturdy, with the plus of having reinforced joints along the handle. It’s also bigger than I had expected and the handle was plenty long to allow you to easily pull it with good leverage and level out soil. I did notice that it warmed up quickly in the direct sunlight and it doesn’t have a rubber grip on the handle so you may need to wear gloves on hotter days. It was quick to build and very simple, although lining up the forks on the base required a little effort to get them aligned. It also came packed up nice and small in a box, just with a couple of scuffs from transport. Not a big deal given what it will be used for. Overall, this product feels sturdy and reliable, and a great alternative to a DIY solution for leveling.
Super sturdy strong swivel head get the job done
When they say “heavy duty”, its no joke! This item is very heavy! Very sturdy, should hold up to a lot of use. Very wide and flat. Head can swivel back and forth if needed.
No prongs on the bottom. Perfect for leveling out freshly laid soil. Not so great for laying in seed. Or maybe it just wasn’t the right tool for a novice gardener/landscaper?
If you know what your doing and have a strong arm and shoulder, this bad boy will be just the thing. Just wasn’t quite so easy to use for a low knowledge wimp with a bad back like me.

This leveling rack seems to be of good quality material. It has a decent enough weigh to it to easily level dirt. However, it isn’t so heavy that it wears you out. I had to have some work done in the yard. Where I am, the ground is a lot of rock and clay. When they were done working they did try to put the ground back, but it still left some uneven places and shallow holes. This tool allowed to easily fix that area with some extra fill dirt. The handle was a goo length and it was easy to use. There really isn’t a learning curve with it, just pick it up and get to work. It was simple to put together, but hard in a few places that took some extra force. Someone that is a little weaker may need help getting together.
Strong, difficult to fully assemble
This gardening leveling rake is just what I needed to level some dirt before adding in some rocks. This thing is really large when fully assembled, spanning 3 feet. I don’t have that big of an area I need to level, so I only kept the center portion of it, which still helps to serve its purpose. This unit is very strong and the steel should hold up to long term abuse. The pole is threaded and screwed together and they included plastic supports that wrap around the connection points, further strengthening it.
The only negative is that you have to attach the end pieces of the leveling portion to the centermost piece. And the issue there is that the end piece tubing isn’t square, so getting all of the male and female tubes to mate is a little bit more difficult. I didn’t need the extension pieces, but I still attempted it to figure out how much work was required to straighten it enough to line up and it is not insignificant. Expect to spend a little bit of elbow grease to get all the tubes to line up evenly. Otherwise, once they do, this thing’s not going to break anytime soon.
A time saving tool to help level soil for planting grass seed, vegetable seeds and flower seed.
When I opened the Vine app, the first thing I saw was a “Leveling Tool” that they had added, to Vine as a selection for reviews, I sat back in my office chair and drifted off in a moment of Dj Vu, as highlights of MLB baseball games was playing on my Wi-Fi TV.
The “Tigerden Lawn Leveling Rake and Leveler”, reminded me of my four year of High School Baseball.
As a Freshman, I was told I would not make the High School baseball team. My coach, also my civics teacher, was not aware I played in an American Legion baseball league since I was 12.
My coach, also my civics teacher, found out I had a background in playing baseball in a competitive level with American Legion teams.
When I opened up the box containing this large heavy garden leveling tool, my dj vu flashed me back to 1968. I was put on the team as part of a ground keeper unit. Out responsibility was mto maintain our field, he also told me I would be able to practice with the team when they went out to practice.
Our school had a gas powered golf cart to carry our tools from coaches office to field. We loaded up our tools we needed, to maintain the field.
Several tools reminded me of this lawn leveling tool. We had several infield drag tools, plus a section of a weighed chain length fence used to drag the infield field. I remember a long handle tool that resembled this law and garden leveling rake. We started at home plate and drug it to first base and back to home plate, then home plate to third and back. Then we drug it between first base and second base.
After my wife and I put the lawn leveling rake together, we proceeded to go out in our backyard with it. Since my back injury, I have not been able to walk without my canes. My son came by on his day off and tilled up a section in our garden. My wife pulled this leveling rake back and forth over freshly tilled soil. It did not take very long to drag the soil, leveling it out preparing it for planting our pole beans.
This is a tool you will not need to use every day. The amount of time it saved us to rake our garden level, made this a valuable gardening tool. Once it was level she took another of the Vine items, we reviewed in the past, to make furrows to plant our pole beans. What could have taken us several hours, we managed to do in about 30 minutes.
After these beans mature and die out, we will till the soil again. We’ve learned plant when they die are add nitrogen back into the soil, that developed on the vegetable roots system.
We then took then our Lawn Leveling Rake and smoothed out our garden. If the weather remains hot and we can possible grow a third crop, we will do this a third time.
If you have freshly tilled soil you need to level out, whether you are going to sow grass seed, prepare a section of soil to grow beautiful flowers or to plant a large garden of vegetables to put up for this coming winter, this heavy duty rake will save you time. This item will become one of you most useful tools you will have as you go out to garden.
