Very nice quality pan that is the perfect size for one skillet meals!
This Kikcoin nonstick 5 quart frying pan comes very nicely packaged. It is the size I like the most for making my favorite veggie featured dishes, including: all kinds of stir-frys, fried rice, and my giant 10-12 egg veggie omelettes. I figure if I’m prepping a lot of different veggies, I want to cook a big enough quantity to make it worth all the prep work I do. I usually freeze half of whatever I cook to save time and energy in the future. This pan can handle the volume I usually make.

The pan is nice looking and comes with a great lid that will fit other shallower skillets I have too. I like the extra short handle to help me lift the pan and also to gently stir it’s contents without lifting the lid. The pan is not too heavy. The design of the pan is not shallow so I can toss and nicely sautee/brown without having to worry about the pan’s contents getting tossed up and going overboard into my gas burners. I appreciate the non-stick surface being free of harmful chemicals.

I tried using this pan to lightly brown breakfast sausage and it worked great with very minimal cleanup needed. I had the same positive experience cooking tilapia. The tilapia stayed moist, which is good. I try not to overcook things because then they will be good when I reheat the leftovers in my air fryer the next day. After I made the tilapia, I just had to rinse the pan out with water and a piece of paper towel and it was ready to cook some frozen pot stickers in. . The pot stickers steamed well with the lid on. I took the lid off to brown the pot stickers, and they did not stick or tear. I also put some homemade quiche I made in a heavy glass pie pan in this Kikcoin, just to reheat it. I got one little spot on the aluminum on the bottom, and a dab of Bar Keeper’s friend and gentle rubbing, removed it.

Since this pan is also bakeware, I’m going to try making my quiches and deep dish pizza in it, and cleanup should be a lot easier!

As I was cooking, I found that the long pan handle stayed cool, but with higher heat, the lid handle and front side handle did heat up, so then I needed to use a pot holder to lift the lid or move the pan off the stove.

Even though the pan description indicates it’s ceramic and can be used for deep frying, I don’t use my non-stick pans for that purpose, so I can’t tell you if it works for that. I prefer to use stainless steel pans, cast iron skillets (for fried chicken); and other actual small “deep fryers” I have for things like tempura, appetizers , fries, etc. I could see maybe using this pan for some frying, like my battered eggplant in Italian breadcrumbs, in some shallow oil. I just personally don’t like using my non-stick cookware for extended periods on high heat with deep oil. I’ve done that in the past and it stained and wore out my pans.

Keep the splatter in and the heat consiste
I ordered this non-stick deep sided pan because of the great appearance and quality reviews of its other products. I love the perfect size of it when I just want to make a dinner for 2 or 3 people. It’s not intended to use as a deep fryer high heat, but more of a medium heat to a nice sear like a meat ball and stew in. It’s a heavier pan and the coating you can feel is thick as well. I would gently work your way into this to create a nice break in before any big meals to be honest.
The handle is nice and sturdy. Clean up a breeze and do no recommend dish washer but just soap and water. No brillo pad at all.
The glass lid has a nice vent hole to prevent a blow out, but keeps heat in. Great seal. Just an overall excellent pan and a great value for your money. I’m looking forward to this for many years.
