Assez lourde remplie
Man sollte also, bevor man die Matten zuschneidet, gut planen.
Excellent protection for your equipment and good value.
This is a first class case and that is immediately apparent when unpacking it.
It feels very robust and the locks are strong.
Consequently, it is quite heavy and not something you would want to casually carry around with you. It is more for storing or transporting equipment in my opinion.
Unlike other reviewers, I did not find it so easy to cut the foam to make inserts for my Sony A7 iv but perhaps that was down to the knife I used or the shape of the camera and telescopic lens. You need something quite sharp.
It holds my camera with attached 350mm zoom lens, another 50mm lens and three batteries.
It will also hold a charger as long as it is a USB lead and not one of those mains type plug types.
I did not test how waterproof it is but short of throwing it in a lake or river to test I am pretty sure it will keep most equipment dry.
K & F Concept are a reputable firm and make very good equipment at more reasonable prices than the main manufacturers. They have done so here and 39.99 is very good value for the protection offered.
Confidence-inspiring sturdiness at a cheaper price point than certain other entrants
Before you look at one of these, make sure you’ve thought about whether or not you’re looking for a bag or a case carefully. A heavy foam-filled hard case isn’t about being super quick and convenient to use on the go; it’s for ensuring that you get gear from A to B safely, or that things are stowed relatively safely without having to be fully locked away.
The name that I’ve always known in this space is Pelican, but you pay a hefty premium for that brand name. I’ve got some friends with them and they swear by them, but I just don’t have enough of a need to justify dropping that kind of cash on a Pelican. K&F has been making a bundle of camera gear lately, though, and this case caught my eye as being worth trying out.
It certainly *feels* as sturdy as my friends’ Pelicans (and the ones that were used to hold rental equipment at the college I attended). This thing is *dense*, and just the case and the foam inside are hefty *before* you add anything inside. That may sound annoying from a portability perspective, but remember that protection is a hard case’s first purpose, especially compared to a bag.
There are two latches that need to be secured to hold the case shut (and with that afford its contents the advertised IP67 water- and dustproof rating). These both feel substantial, with very clear feedback when secured. The design is simple, and if you’ve ever closed any kind of hard case before you’ll know what to do when closing things up. To open the case, you’ll need to hook your fingers under one of the protruding tabs until you can press up on a smaller, shielded tab– or press in on a rectangular button slightly recessed into the latch tops.
I think I would personally have preferred only one direct means of undoing the latches, since the exterior buttons are slightly more prone to being accidentally triggered. With that being said, they’re quite stiff, and I imagine they’re very useful for people who may have motor difficulties with the smaller tabs.
The included foam comes in four layers: an egg-carton style lid pad, a top, a middle, and then a very thin bottom “sheet”. You’ll have to cut this foam to accommodate your gear using a knife or other blade, and this can be a little delicate depending on the shape of your kit. This is a measure twice, cut once deal, and you’ll also want to make absolutely certain that whatever layout you’re settling on is the most common/practical one for you.
For me, I prefer to have everything separated when stowed, so I was able to get away with relatively simple rectangular cuts. My kit is pretty small, so I cut just into the first block of foam, sandwiching my equipment between the middle layer and top egg carton with the first layer wrapped around. The foam was simple enough to cut and has what feels like a good amount of give to it such that it’ll secure something without transmitting too much shock.
Things feel good and cozy once all said and done. I will confess that I did not drop kick mine around to double-check the durability– you’ll have to settle for “seems good!” from me on that front!
On an ancillary side, it’s a staid-looking black case. That’s fine for my purposes. No need to make something simple flashy or loud.
All-in-all, I’ll be keeping an eye on K&F going forward based on kit like this.
RUGGED CUSTOMIZABLE PROTECTION FOR DRONES
RUGGED STORAGE FOR SENSITIVE GEAR
Protecting high value sensors and delicate drones during transport is a constant concern and this 13.5 inch hard case provides a serious level of security. The hard shell exterior feels incredibly sturdy and the waterproof seal is a must have for any field work where the weather is unpredictable.
The customizable foam interior it allows me to create a snug fit for 1 of my smaller drones or a specific camera body and lens combo. Plucking the foam pieces to fit my equipment was simple and it ensures that nothing shifts around when i am moving thru rough terrain. The 5.3 inch depth is just right for most mirrorless setups and the latches have a satisfyingly secure click that doesn’t feel like it will fail under pressure.
I especially appreciate the pressure equalization valve which is a smart design choice for when i am traveling by air between stock assignments. The handle has a nice ergonomic grip that makes it comfortable to carry even when it’s fully loaded with 2 or 3 heavy lenses. My only minor gripe is that the pre cut foam could be a little more dense for extremely heavy items tho it works perfectly for standard camera gear.
This case is definitely a reliable alternative to much more expensive brands without sacrificing the essential protection i need. The 11.4 inch width is compact enough to fit inside a larger gear trunk while still offering enough internal volume for a complete small kit. It’s an elegant solution for keeping my equipment organized and safe from both impact and moisture.
THE VERDICT
This hard case offers professional grade protection and customization at a very reasonable price point. It is a smart investment for any photographer or drone pilot who needs to safeguard their gear from the elements and rough handling.

(5 Stars): A 5 star rating indicates the product meets my expectations for its purpose.
A Rugged, Lockable Case That Actually Protects Your Gear (Without the Pelican Price Tag)
I’ve wasted money on flimsy bags that let dust, moisture, and bumps ruin expensive equipment. This K&F Concept hard case is the antidote. It’s built like a tank but weighs nothing, and the price doesn’t make me wince like the “bird” brand cases that cost twice as much.
What works:
Lockable security: Two padlock holes accept real locks, not the cheap plastic ones that break on first use. The latches have a push-button release that won’t pop open accidentally.
Customizable foam: The pick-and-pluck interior lets you carve out snug compartments for cameras, drones, lenses, or action cams. Once you lay out your gear before cutting, everything stays put during transport.
Waterproof seal: The gasket keeps out dust and moisture—critical for outdoor shoots or travel. I’ve tested it in rain and it held up without a leak.
Multi-level foam: Three foam layers let you create depth for different-sized items. Remove sections entirely if you need to carry loose gear.
Right size: At 13.5 11.4 5.3 inches, it fits a DSLR, drone, controller, and accessories without being a burden.
One caveat: The foam is a one-way street. Cut too much and you can’t undo it. Plan your layout before popping out squares.
My final thoughts are that this case delivers professional-grade protection at a consumer-friendly price. Whether you’re hauling camera gear, drones, or test equipment, it keeps everything secure, dry, and organized. I highly recommend.
Enjoy!
