Feels like a silky top sheet, definite contender for hot, humid summers to come
This is an extremely lightweight blanket. When I saw it, I thought more like a child’s blanket (I had a similar one when growing up!) and my husband thought I ordered a dog blanket. It’s got that kind of look to it. It’s a polyester blend that calls itself silk and it is silky in nature, uut not silk. It was stitched very well and had no holes or pulls to the fabric.
Given the lightweight feel of the blanket and the fabric used, it’s definitely cool. It’s almost like when it’s too hot to sleep with a blanket so you just use a top sheet. It feels like a silky top sheet, but a little thicker.
I like it when on couch and I need to cover my legs, but the true test will be in the middle of a hot, humid summer in the south. I’ll keep you posted!

I ordered 2 Gray blankets, but I think they sent me blue blankets. Either that, or their gray blankets really look blue. That’s disappointing, but doesn’t rock my world. The blankets are silky textured, which really helps in making them feel cooler than other fabrics. Other than that, they seem like normal blankets. No significant magical power of cooling. The silky soft texture is what them makes them a keeper. At around $11, this is a really good product for the price.

I saw this blanket advertised as a cooling blanket. I don’t have air conditioning so the hot summer the nights can get very uncomfortable. I thought I should give it a try. When I took it out of the box, the material was very cool to the touch. It is an extremely lightweight polyester material and very silky. It has one really bad feature: it slides around like crazy. It’s cool when I first put it on as the evening progresses it gets a little bit warmer but all I have to do is to lift it and shake it a little bit and it gets cool again.
