Looks great, nice design, but the heating temperature isn't accurate
My wife and are empty nesters. We like to cook stews and soups, but there are always leftovers. I don’t mind, because I love taking the leftovers to work with me the next day. Until now, I took them in Tupperware bowl and heated them in a microwave. I’m a teacher, so I have to go to the breakroom room to do that which takes time out of my short lunch break.

This lunch box is a great idea, and I thought it would be a great solution. I could just bring my lunch in it. The insulated bag would keep the food cold until I was ready to heat it, and I could set a timer to start the heating process so that my lunch would be piping hot when the lunch bell rang.

This is a really nice looking product with quality construction. The box looks great, colored black with white accents. The plastic is good quality and the fit and finish are excellent. There is recessed handle on top and even a covered niche with a fork and spoon already in it.

The top comes off with four clips and inside is an aluminum pan big enough to hold food for two people. It’s covered by a snap-on plastic top with a vent in it. Under the aluminum pan is a heating element.

The control panel on the front has a nice design with white buttons that light up green or purple for making settings and to indicate the progress of the heating cycle. You can set the final temperature of the food and set a delay of up to four hours before the heating cycle begins. You can activate a keep-warm cycle and set a temperature for that too.

The case is made of grey fabric similar that on a backpack. It’s lined on the inside with shiny insulating material. At the bottom there is a removable hot pad that you can put on your desk or table while you heat and eat. The case has a small pocket on the side where you can put the AC adapter and the car cigarette lighter adapter when not using them. It has carrying handles and comes with a clip-on shoulder strap.

You can use the AC adapter to power the heating cycle from a wall outlet or plug in the cigarette lighter adapter to heat in your vehicle while you are driving. This feature was particularly attractive to me because I like to take long car trips and it would be great to have lunch hot and ready when I reach a rest area at lunchtime. You can also charge the internal battery at home, then use it to heat the food in locations that don’t have outlets, like a construction site.

I really wanted to give this lunch box five stars. The great design and quality build deserve that. But the heating cycle didn’t work well for me. I tried it twice. Both times I set the temperature at 176 degrees and used the lunch box’s battery to heat beef stew the first time and split pea soup the second time. The first time the aluminum pan was about 2/3 full and the second time about 1/3 full. Both times, the temperature indicator reached 176 degrees, showing that my food was ready, but when I measured the actual temperature of the food, it was around 140. Still hot enough to eat, but not as hot as I had hoped. I didn’t try leaving it plugged in while it heated, but even if the battery ran out before the heating was done, the temperature on the display should reflect the actual temperature of the food.

It’s possible that I didn’t set it up correctly. The instructions are not very straight forward or easy to understand. But I’m pretty sure I got it right.

This is a great idea and a really nice design, but if it doesn’t correctly measure the temperature of the heated food, then that will be a problem, not just for not having the food as hot as expected, but also possibly from a food safety standpoint.

I’m going to test one more time with the device plugged into the AC outlet during the heating cycle. I’m also going to reach out to the company that makes to product. It’s possible I received a defective one.

I was really excited about the idea of this product and could see it being really handy in my life. I’ll still be able to use it, but my food won’t be as hot as I had hoped. If the company is able to help me with it and it works properly, I’ll change my rating to five stars and report what happened in an update to this review.

If this product made the food as hot as it was supposed to, I would say it was a good value for the money, but since it doesn’t it’s hard to recommend it right now.

Confusing controls, but it works great!
This is a pretty big lunchbox with a lot going on. Inside, there’s an aluminum heating tray with a silicone lid that fits neatly into the main plastic unit, which houses the heating element and control panel. The lid snaps down securely with four hinges, and the whole setup fits into an insulated fabric carrying bag. The bag is well-designed, with a zippered pocket for one power adapter and a mesh pocket for the other.

My biggest complaint is the controls—they’re very confusing. I’ve used it twice, and both times I basically got it working by pressing buttons until it magically started. I still couldn’t tell you exactly what I did, and unfortunately, the instructions don’t help much.

That said, I had a little fun experimenting with it.

The first time I got it working, I tried frying two eggs. I set it to 212F (its highest temperature) and waited. It took nearly an hour just to reach that temperature, and then I let the eggs cook for another 30 minutes. They definitely cooked—but I overdid it. That’s on me for not checking sooner, but it proved the unit *can* cook eggs.

The second time, I attempted a pancake. Again, I set it to 212F and left it for a couple of hours while I ran errands. When I came back, the pancake was mostly cooked. The center was done (arguably overdone), while the edges were still a bit raw. The bottom browned, the top didn’t—but it smelled, looked, and tasted like a pancake, so I’ll call that a partial success.

Of course, this isn’t really meant for cooking—it’s designed to heat food. And for that purpose, it works great.

Honestly, this would have been amazing to have while I was building my off-grid cabin. Being able to enjoy a hot meal after long hours in the cold would have made a huge difference. I’ve got another cabin project coming up soon, though, and I’m definitely planning to put this to good use.

Overall, despite the confusing controls, this is a really solid lunchbox, and I’m looking forward to using it more.

    Lots of featuers
I have been keeping my eye out for something that would allow me to take breakfast burritos or English muffins out wolf watching in Yellowstone and keep them warm. I’ve tried insulate bags, thermoses, and even a pocket close to the body, but the breakfast is always luke warm at best.

This little lunch box has amazing features. First, there is a thick plastic container inside the insulated soft shell. The lid of the plastic container has a little compartment on the top that has a fork and spoon in it. Inside the plastic container, which locks down on all four sides, is a metal container with an airlock lid. When you seal the metal container, you press on the lid and depress the airlock. The air is pushed out, keeping the food warm for longer.

The containers are easy to close and open, and the lunch box comes with both AC and DC. There is even a mesh side pocket that fits both cords.

I like the size of the overall lunch box. It is light weight and easy to stash your food and go. The food compartment easily fits two burritos or two English muffins. If you wanted to pack and entire meal, it only has enough room for one.

The outer part of the bag is made from durable canvas, and the inner compartment is a solid plastic. The lunch box will last a long time and is easy to use (as well as effective). My breakfast stayed delightfully warm when we used the lunch box on a picnic (chilly) morning at the beach.
