Not too hard to fold back for the travel bag
This is a great choice for a large family travel rug. Comes with ground stakes and loops on the end for grass or sandy beaches. I tried it out on my back patio and I don’t like it for a permanent outdoor rug, but did use it in the grass and on the beach and like it much better for that type of use.
The rug is a plastic woven type and has pretty good line indentations unfolded— which makes it easier to fold back up to fit inside the bag. I can fold this rug by myself but it went a little faster with my husband on one end helping me.
Plenty of room for my 6 person family to sit on with room to spare between us all and for bags when we had a picnic at the park. We tried it at the beach too and my daughter actually taught me that when we angle the stakes in the sand we won’t lose them. Of course this was after I stuck 3 of them in straight up and down. When we packed up from the beach, the one angle stake that she did was the only one that didn’t disappear in the sand wellGo 15 year old (smart girl )
For $59.99 I would absolutely recommend this 8×10 travel rug for camping, RV trips, beach or the park. It can work as an outdoor patio rug but I would prefer a rug that was more sturdy for the type of use. For travel only purposes it is a 5 star rug!
Clean look, lightweight, and practical for outdoor use
I ordered the black and brown 8×10 version of this rug, and I’m really happy with it. The checkered pattern looks just like the listing photos and gives a clean, modern look to my patio. The colors are neutral enough to match most outdoor furniture but still stand out nicely.
I like that it’s reversible. The black side has a stronger contrast, while the tan side feels lighter and more subtle. It’s nice being able to switch between the two depending on the look you want.
The material is the typical plastic straw weave used in outdoor rugs, but this one feels more durable than others I’ve tried. It’s lightweight and easy to move, but still sturdy enough for regular use. It’s not soft like a fabric rug, but it works well for outdoor settings.
It came packaged in a carrying bag, which is great for storage or taking it on trips. The included corner loops and stakes are also a nice touch if you want to secure it on grass or dirt.
There were some creases at first from being folded, but they started to relax after laying it out. Cleaning is simple too, just shake it off or rinse it down. The black side does show dirt a bit more than the tan side.
Overall, this is a good-looking, low-maintenance outdoor rug that does exactly what it’s supposed to do. I’d recommend it for patios, decks, or even camping use.
Easy to clea
This 8×10 outdoor rug turned out to be a great size for our space. One of the main reasons I picked it was the larger dimensions, and it really does make a difference if you have a bigger family or usually have several people sitting outside together.
It covers a good area without feeling cramped, so it works well under patio furniture or for making a cleaner, more comfortable space on the porch or backyard. The black and brown checkered design also looks nice in person and gives the area a more finished look without being too loud.
I like that it’s lightweight, foldable, and easy to move around when needed. The plastic straw material is also practical for outdoor use since it’s waterproof and easy to clean. A quick shake or rinse is usually enough, which is helpful if you’re using it around kids, pets, or for outdoor meals.
Another plus is that it feels useful for more than one setting. It works for the patio, but I can also see it being handy for camping, picnics, or RV use because it folds up easily and doesn’t take much effort to carry.
Overall, I’m very happy with it. If you want a larger outdoor rug that gives more room for family use and still looks good, this one is definitely worth it.
Lightweight, Pretty & Reversible!
I really like how thoughtfully packaged this outdoor rug is! It comes folded in a carrying bag that makes it easy to take out and put away again later, which isn’t always the case with foldable rugs.
It also includes stakes and nicely stitched loops at the four corners, which is great for camping, RV setups, or securing it outdoors.
The rug is reversible, giving you two different looks. The tan side feels light and airy, while the black side has a lot of contrast. I personally love the bold look, though the black side does show dust and debris a bit more easily, something to keep in mind if that sort of thing bothers you, when considering this colorway!
Like most foldable rugs, it arrived with some creases, but the included instructions suggested a 5 second method to reduce them. I tried it and the creases relaxed almost immediately, which was impressive!
It’s also very lightweight and easy to move around. I had no trouble folding it back up and putting it back in the bag afterward.
I plan to use this in my garage for our “Texas garage life”; we keep some camping chairs and toys out there, and this gives my toddler a clean surface to play on that can easily be packed away when we’re done!
Definitely would recommend!
