Light weight - Very Flexible - A Hose that Works Really Well
This is a very odd looking garden hose, but it does work well and is very, very light weight – much lighter than a typical plastic hose. Here is my overall evaluation of this from my use, and I’ve been using it for low pressure flow to empty a rain barrel into our pool:
Pros:
– It bends easily but would most likely not kink – see my photo of the hose hanging by it’s own weight – that’s about the max this hose will bend.
– It is VERY light and easy to move around – and garden hoses get moved around alot, ha!
– It comes with extra plastic washers and even a small roll of plumbers tape
– The metal coating is not magnetic, so it is likely stainless steel, and is VERY flexible
– The brass male and female fittings on the ends are machined very well, quality made, and screw onto other hose fittings easily giving no issues.
– This hose will most likely outlast my traditional thick rubber/plastic hoses as the metal exterior will hold up better in the sun – I think right
Cons:
– See my photo of the male hose fitting end – The hole there is much smaller than a typical hose. This is going to restrict water flow rates, which could be good or bad depending on your situation.
Overall I think I give this hose a green light for others to buy it as well. I pleasantly am happy with it, and it does work really well. I like how it will bend easily and not kink and that it’s so light weight. I am also hopeful this hose will outlast a traditional plastic/rubber hose.
