The length is perfect for small spaces.
Pros: This stainless steel hose is the perfect size for me to use in my garden or any small space. It coils nicely and lays flat. It also really does not kink. I can’t wait to see how long it holds up. It is fairly light weight compared to normal hoses. It is smooth to the touch and does not pinch the fingers. It is an overall heavy-duty hose. It came with some white sealing tape and extra rubber gaskets.
Cons: It has to be full of water pressure in order to expand to its full length but even then, it didn’t quite measure 15′. It was about 3″ shy of that. The black handles on the ends will unscrew easily but this is just as easily fixed, and this does not affect usage.
Easy to move around, flexible, great for kids and adults alike to use
Love these steel garden hoses. I have a lot of them. My main complaint is that they are too short. Wish they came in 50′ lengths. Instead I have to get several and put them together to use in my front yard. And then get several to put together to use in my backyard too. We have a large yard (36 acres) and use the ones in the front yard for watering flowers and playing in the sprinkler. We use the hose in the backyard to water our large garden.
Pros are that they are easy to put together. They never leak where they are connected. Easy to pull over to the trampoline when the kids want to jump with the hose there. Easy for my youngest to use in her mud kitchen. They are lightweight and very flexible to manuver around things. In the backyard we drag it around our 10 large raised beds and it is easy to do. No kinking at all! It’s amazing. I’ve had these for years and will never get another kind of hose to drag around our garden beds. These are the best. Easy to coil around your arm and carry, easy to pull, easy to use for kids and older adults alike.
The only problem I’ve had is that once it got left out during an ice storm. Not sure how, but it did spring a leak. So make sure you put away during winter (guess my kids were using it to water the chickens) and it’ll last a long time.
The larger capacity with high quality material and workmanship
Once you go to metal it is very hard to go back to the old clunky rubber kinky heavy hoses. Metal is amazing and while it isn’t completely indestructible they sure do hold up really well and even on our farm life and getting stepped on by large animals they survive.
They will fail eventually but that is from abuse as the inner rubber core is very protected by the metal jacket around it. You can crush them and even they they will work for a bit but eventually if the inner rubber is puncture it is dead cause I don’t think you can fix them.
Bottom line – totally worth trying if you haven’t. As for this particular hose I would rate it right up there because of the size and quality of not only the hose but the connections. They are solid brass and fit well without leaking. Lightweight but durable and they really are tough to get to kink. This hose is what I would consider the top end on quality, a little higher in cost but not by much. It is also the larger sized hose.
Overall a top metal hose.. and in looking for a hose this one has the desired features.
Stainless steel hose is my favorite kind of hose
I already had a 25ft stainless steel hose that I have been using for the past 2 years and I really love it but it was not quite long enough to reach to the end of my 33ft patio. I saw this 15ft hose and got it to add to my existing hose. It fits perfectly with no leaks. I really like this hose because it doesn’t kink and doesn’t get caught on things like a regular rubber hose does. I have a rubber hose on the other side of the house and it gets muddy and dirty but the stainless steel one doesn’t. It coils easily and stays looking good. I was able to add my favorite nozzle and the connection was really tight with no leaks. The stainless steel hose is surprisingly lightweight and easy to maneuver. I highly recommend this hose. It is well worth the price.
