I am excited to use it on my backyard as soon as the snow clears up. It was easy to maneuver, no knots, not difficult to work with and easy to store. The material seems of quality and I will come back to report on durability.
My wife and I are building our retirement homestead and we never realized how much we would be dragging water hose around. Just not something you think about ahead of time. But now when we drag out the hose, instead of having a frown on our faces, we have smiles. Because this metal hose is just so light and manageable. It glides over rocks and roots here in the Ozarks of Arkansas. It DOES NOT kink. YAY! no walking bac over 200ft just to unkink a hose. The ONLY gripe I have with this hose is winding it back up. It can be a little unruly. It likes to be nice and straight like when you wind it up on a hose reel. Winding around a wall mounted hook is where it has problems. Not a big deal for us as our hoses are used most of the year. We only wind them up for about 6 weeks when we see some freezing temps. Which leads to another advantage of these metal hoses…….. I drive over them with vehicles. I actually got brave and tried driving our largest trucks over these hoses. I’ll start with the smallest vehicle and work up like I tested the hose with our vehicles. First was our good old yard wagon. Then the lawn tractor. A JEEP Rubicon 4DR. And then the big toys. Our retired military trucks/equipment we are using to clear land and move dirt. rock and trees. The heaviest weighs in at 23,000 pounds and they all have wide, rubber tires. And all that has happened to the hose so far is, it gets squashed down into the dirt. I am sure I will pinch one between a tire and a rock someday but, so far, so good. The reduction in aggravation is worth the cost of the hose at about a buck a foot in 25ft lengths. You can’t go wrong with this hose for most situations.
I am in love with this hose! I got it for watering my garden and it has exceeded my expectations! It is so lightweight and easy to maneuver. I have two connected together. The hose connects to my faucet and the other hose very easily with no leaks. It glides along the pine straw paths between my raised garden boxes without moving or disturbing the straw at all!! It is so lightweight which makes it so much easier to maneuver and water with because it takes me a good 30 to 45 minutes to water my entire vegetable garden. It is so easy to wind onto my hose rack and it does not get tangled or twisted and no kinks whatsoever! Whoever invented this design is a genius!
Kink Free
This hose arrived in a retail box. It included the hose and several rubber washers and thread tape. Very well packaged. The hose will not kink but it can get twisted of course. It appears to be solidly built. When I first used it the water had a very strong chemical smell to it. I am sure it will be fine for gardening, but do NOT drink from this hose (as with most garden hoses). The connectors are strong. I cannot comment on longevity because I just recently started using it, but I am pretty sure that it will last awhile. Only time will tell. Definitely recommended.
A Back Saver!
With a large yard and multiple beds, it was rough on my back to drag hundreds of feet of rubber hose around every time I watered. With this lightweight, kink-free hose, my backbreaking garden days are OVER! I have ordered a total of 275 feet of these stainless steel hoses and I will never go back to standard garden hoses again! They’re a gardening game changer because they are SO easy to drag and roll back up when you’re finished with the most dreaded of gardening tasks. They’re sturdy and the fittings are well machined and easy to attach, even on my old faucet. The most positive swap I’ve ever made in my gardening, for sure!
Nifty Little Hose - perfect for front porch
I recently took my wife’s 50′ hose from the front porch to use for our sump pumps (sorry hun), so i had to replace it. I wanted to try a less burdensome hose, so I got this metal hose to see if it may be simpler–it is!
PROS:
– It is much smaller/lighter than I could have imagined! (if you have a shower head with a metal hose, think of this hose as that type of build)
– The build quality is really good actually!
– The water stream is consistent and powerful
– it is really easy to wrap and it will not kink
– The tightening mechanism does not twist the whole hose (really amazing!)
– The included teflon tape is helpful for ensuring a leak-free connection
CONS:
– I honestly don’t see anything other than maybe it not being “pretty”
If you need an unobtrusive, but functional hose for someone in your yard, get this!

I wasn’t sure what I’d be getting with this metal garden hose. When I opened the box I discovered it much more flexible than expected and it’s much lighter. I think it’s a better solution than a plastic polymer hose. There are good fittings on the ends that don’t drip, and it’s quality made. It’s much better than those typical garden hoses that breakdown in a season or two that crimp and spring leaks. What’s amazing is how even though it’s metal the sections slide over one another easily and it resists kinking.
The hose has a good tight connection to your faucet with the threaded metal end and the rubber gasket. There was no leaking for me. They include extra gaskets so you have more if needed.
All in all, a well-made product that will keep you from worrying about undoing your old kinking hose.
