D80mm 10'' Carbon Fiber Buoyancy Arm for Underwater
D80mm 10'' Carbon Fiber Buoyancy Arm for Underwater Photography, Buoyancy Provided 870g, Aquatic Arm, Professional Float Arm, Fits Camera Housing, Diving Tray, Video Light & Strobe
- Precision Buoyancy & Balance – This positive buoyancy carbon fiber arm precisely counterweights your underwater camera housing, tray, video light, or strobe. Achieve neutral buoyancy and reduce arm fatigue for smoother, longer dives.
- Aircraft-Grade Carbon Fiber Construction – Unlike plastic or aluminum arms, our arm uses high-modulus carbon fiber tubing for an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. It’s incredibly lightweight yet rigid, resisting corrosion and impact.
- Secure, Leak-Proof Ball Joint – The patented dual-locking ball head features a high-grade silicone O-ring seal. It locks your accessory firmly at any angle without slipping, shaking, or causing leaks—ensuring stable shots in currents.
- Modular & Versatile Setup – Part of a modular underwater camera system. Easily attach between your camera housing and tray, or to an accessory arm to float your video light or strobe. Choose from 4 arm types for custom configurations.
- Complete & Ready to Dive – Package includes 1x Carbon Fiber Buoyancy Arm. Note: Camera, housing, lights, strobes, and tray are sold separately for maximum compatibility.
Achieve Perfect Neutral Buoyancy Transform Your Heavy Camera Rig into a Weightless Underwater Partner.
Every underwater photographer knows the struggle. Your essential gear: the metal housing, powerful video lights, sturdy tray. pulls relentlessly on your arms, causing fatigue that ruins stability and cuts dive time short.
This Carbon Fiber Buoyancy Arm is your engineered solution. Feel the immediate relief as your system becomes neutrally buoyant. Your focus shifts from fighting gravity to framing the perfect shot, allowing for smoother, longer, and more comfortable dives.
True performance lies in strength without sacrifice. The core tube is crafted from aerospace-grade carbon fiber, offering an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. It’s incredibly lightweight for travel and highly resistant to corrosion.
Stability is guaranteed by the precision ball joint. A high-grade silicone O-ring inside creates a uniform, vice-like grip when tightened, locking your accessory securely at any angle. No slip, no drift, just rock-solid positioning even in challenging currents.
This arm is the versatile core of your imaging system. Use it to float your camera housing directly off a tray or to balance a heavy video light or strobe. By providing lift exactly where you need it, you can achieve a perfectly balanced and manageable rig.
We offer four configuration types to fit your specific setup, ensuring seamless integration with most standard underwater photography systems using common 1-inch ball sockets. Build your ideal configuration for macro, wide-angle, or complex lighting setups.

Professional carbon fiber buoyancy arm. Super lightweight and strong.
There may be less expensive ways to get some buoyancy for your underwater camera rig but you won’t find a higher quality, more reliable buoyancy arm than this one.
When you pull it out of the box you will immediately see and feel its superior quality. The shiny carbon fiber surface in and of itself will impress you and it’s super lightweight.
It comes with two extra O-rings for the ball heads. Keep in mind it does not come with any attachment clamps for the ball heads so you’ll have to procure them separately.
offers something like 4-5lbs of bouyancy
i used this to lighten my insta360 ace pro 2 diving action camera rig.
my rig as pictured weighs about 6lbs on land. in sea water, it was still negatively bouyant, but very manageable. probably felt like less than half a pound. i think overall this D80mm 8″ arm provided me about 4-5 LBs of positive bouyancy in sea water. 1 of them was just about right for this rig, and i did not feel the need to add more bouyancy.
the float arm felt super robust and showed no issues on my first 2 dives with it. works as expected. since it’s not foam, and not crushed at depth, the bouyancy characteristics did not change.
the only potential downside is that it feels slightly more expensive than other options.
