Well Made Construction - Wall to Exhaust Mounting Plate Not Flush Power Issue
Efficient energy saving motor rated roughly half the power (29W) of other similar 8″ fans. Fan is extremely quiet at all speeds more so at 1 setting (lowest speed of 6).
Good airlow moving at Highest setting 6.
Exhaust Airflow Butterlies open to different
Widths depending on CFM selected and spring close when off to keep tube closed from outside.
Fans like this eventually will fail at differents rates based on environment location installed.
The power cord is located behind the front intake plate .
As a result Amico put 4 rubber standoff grommets around the screw holes with the grommet tube legs extending to wall. Leg length is same as AC power cord width.
End result is drill a 8 inch hole.. push exhaust pipe in…plate will not fit flush to wall because of AC power cord underneath plate and grommet tube legs keeping gap consistant all the way around.
A little oddball looking at a flat metal plate not flush with wall.
Grommets can be removed and a custom install can be done regarding power routing (inside wall etc) but experience with these type fans is when they fail another fan is required so wiring can be a issue.
Having a hot wired electrical box nearby simplifies things…
All in all this is a nice fan that is constructed well and can be adapted for power hookups.
Remote works well. Remote is the only way to turn fan on (without motor modificatiion) and control timer , speeds etc.
As is – Lose remote and thats it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersPowerful Exhaust Fan for Heat and Moisture, but the Remote Setup Has Drawbacks
I installed this fan in a shed we are building for hatching and brooding baby ducks and chickens, so I needed something that could actually move hot, stale air out instead of just making noise. In that kind of setup, this fan has done a very good job.

What stands out most is the airflow. On the lower settings it stays fairly quiet while still moving enough air to keep the space comfortable. I especially like the lower-mid range for regular use because it gives good ventilation without being distracting. When I really need to pull heat or moisture out fast, the highest setting makes a big difference. It is definitely louder on the top speed, but it also moves a lot more air, so that tradeoff makes sense to me.

I also like having the 9 speed options, even though in real use I mostly find myself going back to setting 3 for everyday ventilation and setting 9 when I want maximum exhaust. That gives it a nice range depending on the situation.

For context, I used to work in a hydro store and dealt with ventilation fans regularly, so I have used quite a few fans in this general category. Based on that experience, this one performs very well for a compact exhaust fan. It feels strong, capable, and useful in more than just one type of space. I can see it working well in a shed, greenhouse, garage, bathroom, grow room, coop, or anywhere else that needs serious ventilation.

My main complaints are about convenience, not performance. The biggest downside for me is that it is not the kind of fan I can simply tie into a normal wall switch setup the way I would prefer. The other issue is the remote. It works fine, but it is small and easy to misplace, which can get annoying if this is installed in a workspace or utility area.

    Pros:
Strong airflow when you need real exhaust
    Quiet on lower settings
    Useful speed range
Works well for heat and moisture control

    Cons:
    Highest speed is noticeably louder
    Remote is easy to lose
Not as convenient if you want wall-switch style control

Overall, this has been a strong performer for my use. It is quiet enough on lower speeds for regular ventilation, powerful enough on high to clear out heat and moisture quickly, and flexible enough to work in a lot of different spaces.
