Nice well made exhaust fa
So far this has been a great little exhaust fan. I’m gonna start by saying that this is not a fan that you would hook up to any kind of duct work or anything like that It is completely stand alone. Installation is very easy provided that you have a hole in your wall or a to the exterior somehow the unit simply just mounts in a hole.
The unit itself seems to be mainly made out of a thinner galvanized sheet metal and possibly some aluminum for the ventilation flaps. It’s plenty strong and sturdy enough to do what it needs to do. It’s also worth noting that the fan has to be mounted in the correct direction and that it can only be mounted in a wall and it can only be mounted facing up because the flaps on the exterior are weighted so that they blow open when the fan turns on and then as the fan goes off the weights pull the flaps shut.
This fan comes with a small switch to better control its speed and its duration giving you a lot of flexibility if you want it to automatically turn on and off or turn off after a certain amount of time or if you need more or air exhausting. I do wish that that part could be easily removed in the event I ever wanted to hard wire this into a permanent location that’s not quite accessible the unit as is would not be great so I wish there was a way that it could be installed permanently out of reach but the multi selector switch would make that very hard to do.
This fan could be used for multiple different things anything from a pool room to a garage or a basement or attic anywhere you need a little bit of air movement this fan would work fine. I would not use this fan above a stove or for a bathroom or something like that. But it has quite versatility as it could be used for a multiple different applications.
Overall the unit was much quieter than I expected it to be and even when the damper flaps close I expect a little bit of a clank and I did not get that it was very silent when the flaps closed.
At a current list price of around $80 I feel like this is an acceptable value for the price.
A handy addition to my garage.
I do a lot of work in my garage which is also a small workshop. He can get pretty warm in the shop in the summertime, and rather than open doors to let fresh air in or get some air movement I bought this fan with the idea that I could use it to exhaust some of the warm air and get some air flow into the garage.
This was just the perfect size because I didn’t want to make a hole in the wall of the garage just for the fan. So I took a piece of 3/4 inch plywood, cut out the hole for the fan, and mounted it. That way I could fit it into the back window of my garage, similar to putting an air conditioner in the window. That way I don’t have to have the door open to allow bugs and critters into the garage but I can still pull some air to help ventilate the shop. This little fan does a great job for its size. Easy to mount, plug it in and the handy remote means I can operate it from across the work bench, I don’t have to go right up to it. I also like the thermostat feature so I can set it to automatically going and off. This is a handy and useful item to have in your work area.
Pros: I find it pretty powerful for a small unit. Louvers operate just as designed. The remote control is a great feature so I can operate it from a distance. It’s relatively quiet.
Cons: can’t find any negatives for this little unit.
Powerful Ventilation That Makes a Huge Difference
I installed this exhaust fan in my garage/workshop and it has been a fantastic upgrade. The airflow is seriously impressive. Once the fan kicks on, you can immediately feel the air moving. It clears out heat, fumes, and stale air very quickly, which is especially noticeable when working in the garage during warmer days. The coverage is excellent and it easily keeps a large space feeling much more comfortable.
One of my favorite features is the built-in thermostat with multiple speed settings. Being able to set a temperature and let the fan automatically turn on when the space heats up is incredibly convenient. The 8-speed options are also great because you can adjust the airflow depending on what you’re doing—whether you want maximum ventilation or just a gentle air exchange. The power-off memory is a nice touch as well since it remembers the last settings without needing to reset everything.
The DC motor is surprisingly efficient and quiet. Even when running at higher speeds, the noise level is very reasonable and doesn’t overpower the space. At the same time, it moves a lot of air while using very little electricity, which makes it a smart long-term option if you plan to run it frequently.
I also appreciate the build quality. The galvanized steel frame feels solid and durable, and the aluminum fan blades look like they’ll hold up well over time. The automatic shutters work perfectly—opening when the fan runs and closing tightly when it’s off. This helps keep out rain, insects, and outside drafts, which is especially useful if you’re using it in a garage, shed, greenhouse, or even a chicken coop.
Installation was straightforward and didn’t require complicated wiring. The plug-and-play setup with the standard 120V plug and long power cord made it easy to get up and running quickly. It’s nice not having to deal with complicated electrical work just to improve ventilation.
Overall, this fan offers excellent value for the performance you get. The strong airflow, smart thermostat control, energy-efficient motor, and durable construction make it a very practical solution for anyone who needs serious ventilation in a garage, workshop, greenhouse, or similar space. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and powerful exhaust fan that’s easy to install and built to last.
