Product description

Strong airflow, but this is more utility than elegance
This room to room fan is the kind of product that earns its keep if you have a space that struggles with airflow. Once set up, it moved air well and made a noticeable difference in getting circulation from one area to another. The remote is useful, the speed options are nice to have, and it feels more capable than a basic fan when it comes to solving a specific ventilation problem.
What I liked most was that it actually felt purposeful. This is not just a little desk fan pretending to be useful. It is clearly designed to push air where it needs to go, and for bedrooms, laundry areas, or stuffier rooms, that can matter a lot. The quieter DC motor is also a plus, especially at lower settings where it is less distracting.
The downside is that this is more functional than pretty. It is not the kind of thing that disappears decor wise, and installation matters a lot. If someone wants a sleek invisible solution, this may feel a little more industrial than expected. But if airflow is the priority, it does the job well.
Pros:
Moves air effectively
Remote is convenient
Multiple speed settings
Useful for stuffy rooms
Cons:
More utility focused than attractive
Installation matters
Not totally invisible in the room
Love it!
This fan exceeded my expectations. I bought it to put in the laundry closet, which is part of an extended den in my home. Since installing it, I’ve noticed that the cooler air moves around so much more effectively. The directions were easy to follow, and even someone like me who’s not great with DIY found the setup super simple. I’m genuinely happy with this product and plan to get more for my bathrooms to help improve airflow there too.
Quiet Through-Wall Fan With a Surprisingly Good Feature Se
I installed this Ehiair 8″ fan to move air between rooms and it has been working well since day one.
Setup was straightforward — it comes with its own cutout template and mounting hardware, so everything you need is in the box including the remote. The frame is adjustable for different wall thicknesses, which saved me from having to figure out spacers or adapters.
I measured the power draw at each end of the range. At full speed with open airflow it pulled about 10 watts. When I intentionally blocked the airflow to load it up, it maxed out at 13.9 watts. With the fan off but the unit plugged in, standby draw was only 0.5 watts. Those are low numbers for the amount of air it moves.
The fan is reversible, which is useful depending on whether you want to push or pull air. The built-in thermostat can trigger it on and off automatically, and there is a timer function as well. The LCD display is backlit and you can switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit. With 10 speed settings it feels almost infinitely adjustable — you can really dial it in to where it is moving enough air without making noise.
At 320 CFM this is not going to replace a big window fan. An 8-inch blade has its limits. But it puts out roughly triple what a typical bathroom ceiling fan does, and it is noticeably quieter.
Pros:
Very quiet, even at higher speeds
10-speed control gives you fine adjustment
Built-in thermostat and timer
Comes with everything you need to install, including remote and cutout template
Low power draw — 10W at full speed, 0.5W standby
Cons:
Slight vibration before it is secured into the wall — goes away once mounted
320 CFM is good for room-to-room transfer but do not expect window fan output from an 8-inch blade
Build quality feels solid and it seems like it will hold up for a long time. The remote, thermostat, and reversibility make it a lot more capable than it looks in the photos.
This room to room fan looks great and performs well.
We’ve moved from central heating/air to mini splits. Getting air around the whole house can be a challenge in rooms that don’t have air handlers. These room to room transfer fans help satisfy that need.
This fan arrives with a 2 piece front and back grille with the duct sleeves pre attached. They nest into each other to accomodate various wall thicknesses of your walls. Illustrated installation instructions are included, and the ptocess is pretty simple.
I decided on a location, used the included templates to cut the holes on each side of the wall, and test fit them/made any adjustments. They fit well together, and the grilles are large enough to cover small cutting errors. Install the included drywall anchors and screws to mount the grilles to define their locations. Power for the fan is from a 12V wall wart style adapter and connects to the fan with a small plug. The included cord length is generous. You can run this cord on the outside and plug into a nearby receptacle or conceal the wiring in the wall. Contact an electrician if you’re not sure how to proceed with in wall wiring. Being class II wiring I was comfortable plugging into a receptacle in my attic and fishing the cord end down into the wall fan cavity through a hole I drilled through my top plates. The rear grille gets mounted first, then plug in the front grille and mount it.
Once energized you have some nice options for operation. Control is from front panel or the included remote. Control logic can be selected to run based on temperture setpoints, timers, countdown cycle counters, or simple on/off. The LED display has variable brightness and can be set to auto time off after any inputs. Ambient temperture is displayed for convenience. 10 fan speeds are available. Speed 5 and below are almost silent. 6 and above are white fan noise. The DC motor in the fan is responsive and powerful enough to move a reasonable amount of air.
All in all this fits my application perfectly. Installation wasn’t overly difficult. It moves air from a conditioned space to an adjacent room that isn’t. Control is intuitive and simple. Noise levels are reasonable reletive to volume of air moving. The unit looks great and performs as expected. 5 stars. Would recommend.
