I also suggest using another meter to check humidity and temperature from time to time to make sure this one is accurate and maintaining, but I suggest that no matter what incubator you end up using. The temperature and humidity control stay consistent, which is huge for hatch success, and being able to adjust settings as needed gives you more control depending on what you’re incubating. The automatic egg turning is a big help and saves a lot of time while keeping everything moving evenly. It feels durable for being plastic and holds up well during use without feeling flimsy and it’s easy to clean and store when you’re done.

I’ve incubated a lot of eggs and unfortunately lost a lot of batches to power failures. It seems like chicken eggs can handle a lot of humidity fluctuation and variances in how often they are turned, but if they get cold in the first two weeks it’s all over. I love that I can just keep this hooked up to a cheap 12v lithium battery and then there’s no rushing to get the generator hooked up when the power goes out. The easily visible water level makes humidification easy as well.
